Holy crap that is awesome.
Now I need to find a second Bruticus to make me a Brutalcus.
Destron D-69
Nov 11 2009, 03:27 PM
the second "onslaught" on the back is tricky to connect, you need to use the "brawl" foot pieces that are 'apparently' missing from the picture, but if you look hard at the waist section you can see the red parts folding between the two team leaders

give it back support where ever you pose it ... 4 peg feet aren't the stable-est ..might try reworking it a little

gave him some Fortmax chest guns as a different way of mounting the backpack

Well done, SS. It's a world with few certainties, but the Allspark always comes through.

Seriously, I almost wish I'd picked up the Target one now, so I could try this with my 4/5 Energon Bruticus.

I wanna try this, but I cannot figure out how to attach teh two onslaught/barricades together

Destron D-69
Nov 11 2009, 10:11 PM
I'm still not sure how the arms are bent around in the original picture... but on mine each of the four onslaught hands are holding one peg of the tank's energon weapon...
what would really work well would be if there was a way to line up the 'shoulder' mini-con pegs and holes so one from one plugs into the opposite from the other. but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

Um, wow, how about those step by step instructions that Destron asked for? Because I'm totally making that...

Nov 12 2009, 09:48 AM
yeah.. where are those instructions I used?

Nov 12 2009, 09:52 AM
Grr, I guess I missed that.

Nov 12 2009, 09:54 AM
Wheelimus and I are planning to get together here in the next few weeks. I'd love to have this guy put together by the time he comes up. If you could post those instructions, it would be most helpful. I am going to pick up my second Bruticus Maximus tonight so I'll be ready to give it a shot then.
What a great fan mode btw. You get a big
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:07 AM
okay guys there are no instructions... I just up and did it from the picture reference
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:13 AM
Step 1Start with two "brawls" in tank mode, Bend robot arms at the elbows attach two energon "feet/hands" from the Swindle mold like so."
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:14 AM
this does separate the arms at the rear of the tank as the pegs are further apart then the fist holes. use the thumb to indicate which foot will be what side, putting the thumb on the outside edge tends to angle the foot outward when weight is added in the remaining steps.
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:25 AM
Step 2
take the two of the 'Vortex' molds almost entirely to robot mode, leaving the head tucked into the chest and the arms folded as in the picture. attach to upward pointing posts on the energon feet attached to the brawls and set aside.
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:32 AM
Step the next
Using the remaining two "brawls as the arms, angle connection block as desired taking into account the reverse angle needed in final combined picture, position robot arms up at shoulder ball joints this time, also leaving forearms pegged together. point blasters up to act as index and little fingers; fold and attach energon foot/hand as shown to be thumb and middle/ring fingers depending on which hand you are working on.
then set aside. arms are done
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:37 AM
Step the one after that
[picture unnecessary]
convert the remaining two 'choppers' into arm mode set aside
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:44 AM
Step the tricky oneTake you first Onslaught to slandered torso mode
take the second into this configuration (the back kibble is adjustable to your liking) however, make sure the thumbs are up and the two pegs on the forearms are facing inward.
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 10:55 AM
Step two to tango
mount the backpack as shown, using the tabs on the inside of the "packslaught's" forearms to hold against the wheel wells of the torsoslaught... you may have to slightly angle the 'shoulder armor' sections of your packslaught to add pressure to the not really connected connection depending on how tight the joints are.

Attach the last two remaining 'brawl' energon parts one peg into each of the exposed hand holes to further support this very weak connection. make sure to angle the 'heel/dish' section forward to avoid obscuring the second set of connection pegs. then arrange back pack kibble as you like
Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 11:01 AM
Step GO VOLTRON FORCE!
connect the arms to the torso at the "red" pins shown in the above step, attach the loose choppers to the "blue" pegs shown in the above step to form the hip armor. then connect the legs having a leaning structure near by while it self adjusts to the weight... then carefully marvel at the barely contained destructive force of nature known as DOUBLE BRUTICUS

thankfully I had the energon version already so the original picture only tempted me to buy the repaints lol

A requirement to combine them is having Haruhi (or any other toy) rocking out on a electric guitar while it happens.
Double Bruticus is awesome

, I'm guessing it can't be done with the others?
Also is he a lot bigger than the other two?

can he use the superion add on arms?
I mean, the price right now is outrageous as it is, but still.

Nov 12 2009, 02:48 PM
I'm wondering how the arms would look with the helicopter energon weapon "hands" rather than the claws.
Regardless, that thing is pure destructive love!!

While I don't have either set so I can try it myself, it does look freaking awesome as all heck.

Destron D-69
Nov 12 2009, 09:49 PM
actually I did it because it took time to take apart the damn thing and then take all the pictures, and I wanted to keep the people who were actively in the thread at the time from wandering off.. since they were the ones asking for instructions..
also
going to try a different configuration ...
also yeah he can use the superion arms.... if you use the supirion jets for arms.

I actually am really interested to see other limbs used with this.
I have one core, two tanks, and two hellicopters. That gives me half of the body and the legs. I wonder how the Devestator limbs would look as arms and othe bits. They devesator limbs are pretty flexible.
