Not really actually. Well not from Hasbro that is, but I'm glad they are doing it. I'm going to preorder this one for sure (I skipped on the first one waiting for a US release - but I don't think this will get a US release since the other is an exclusive).

Hmmmmm, do I get this version, the Hasbro version, or both?

I seem to recall, when the Legend/EZ Devastator was first announced, it was said to be in blind packaging with chase figures, then it changed to individual packaging. I had guessed at the time of Blind Packaging that the chase figures would be green/purple.
Honestly I like this color variant. I might get both if they make it to the US. I just love Legends.

I'd like to say that, while this looks neat, I'd be satisfied with the original colors, but I'm such a legends whore that if Hasbro releases this over here I'll end up with it along with the movie colored one.

As a lot of the first photos we see of Takara's redecos tend to be, yes, it is a mockup.

Yes... you all expected this didn't you?
Yes, actually. Months ago when the mold was announced, someone doubted that Hasbro would bring it over. My response was that Hasbro wouldn't pass up new molds that they could use at least twice (movie and original colors).
The Hasbro part of that hasn't come true yet, but I really figure that's only a matter of time. A set of construction vehicles not repainted into green/purple is unheard of.

Hasbro's recolors for the movie tend to stay within the same realm as the original, so if they do recolor one of the Devastator figures, I wouldn't be surprised if it stays mostly red and yellow as well.

Ridiculously bad, yes. On both the edited color, and the added text.

Well, Scavenger, Rampage, and Mixmaster all have repaints to go with right out of the gate. Scavenger to Demolishor, Rampage to Skipjack, and Mixmaster to Ol' Lefty. I guess if you count the yellow Long Haul from the videogame then he's in the bag too.

Green to red. Green to SPOONS!!! colors. Light blue-gray to black. Yellow to red. Red to BLue. Gray and black to green and purple. Yeah.

Hmm... too much green, not enough purple, and the chrome face looks weird. Looks kind of like a silver dude wearing green footy pajamas.
Since it looks nothing like G1 Devastator otherwise, I actually prefer the original colors.

Yeaaaahhhh... Probably won't be trying to get that. I'll be good with the Hasbro Legends set in movie colors, and I already have plenty of Devastator colored toys.

Could be partly the photoshop, but in those colors, it just looks like G1 Devastator was left in the sun too long and started to melt. I will take the delicious fruity rainbow of Devastation, thanks...!

... It's alright, but I really, relly prefer Devvy's movie colors. Besides, they're releasing it in the original colors in America, so I'll be more than happy to go with a mishmash of colors that actually somehow look better than a mass of green and purple.

If it gets a reasonably priced US release, I'll probably get it. I may not, though, since I'll definitely get the regular US version, and I find its colors already attractive (I like that the movie constructicons are a little more unique than most other universes' constructicons, both in form and color).
It certainly would match my Universe Devastators (RiD repaint and Micromaster) and the "Classics" Energon repaint.
Too bad my G1 Devastator is the yellow G2 version. And missing some parts.

That's actually something I like about it, but what I probably won't like is the price, so, pass as well.

Yeah, it's hard to make a call on this because it's way too oversaturated or something. Makes the eyes almost hurt. Might look better in actual plastic colors. Layout looks more than a bit boring though. Can't have some grey on there, like on the mixing drum?

BBTS has it up as a preorder for $54.99, which is pretty much on par with what I expect a Japanese version of this toy to cost. I'd even take a guess that it's probably packaged the same way as the US Legends Devastator, but that's speculation at this point.
