QUOTE
This is going to come as a huge shock to you, but Nokia has announced that it's no longer supporting the N-Gage platform. It's just -- we never expected something like this to happen, to tell you the truth. For all intents and purposes, it seemed like the N-Gage would be around forever, a platform thriving in the portable space like no device has before it. Look at the iPhone, the DS, the PSP and even the fallen Gizmondo and it's quite apparent the N-Gage has always been the platform to beat.

Even though Nokia will halt all support for the N-Gage, it's still going to roll up all of its games into the Ovi Store, where N-Gage users will be able to access the content until September 2010. Just, uh, don't expect any new games over the next year, as Nokia will not be publishing anything for the device from here on out and any games that use community features will have those features disabled come September 2010. Anything you purchased is yours to keep, of course.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to pour one out for the bounty of amazing games that we'll no longer get to play.

My God! It's the crash of '83 all over again!

And here I thought they dropped support for it back in 2004.
Prime 2.0
It honestly took me 20 minutes to remember what an N gage was.

Then i spent another 20 minutes thinking about Captain Picard.

later this year it'd be awesome if sega announced they no longer supported the dreamcast.

Or Colecovision not supporting... colecovision...

How sad something I never used has died. A buddy of mine had one of first model N-gage and used it happy for about a week before taking it back. He had no cell signal anywhere on his property, but if he walked half a block up the street he had full bars (thank you T-mobile). He had to turn it off to change between his whole 2 games(sonic and something random) and he looked ridiculous talking on it. anyway here is a video to denote how bad ass the N-Gage could be made to look

Actually, that announcement was notable for being really early (it was the same month the Gamecube and Xbox came out), not absurdly late.

I thought Dreamcast games were still being released in Japan until not too long ago.
Mawile
You sure you're not confusing Saturn games being released in Japan up through the Dreamcast being released?

The last Dreamcast games published by Sega of Japan were the 2007 releases Trigger Heart Exelica and Karous.
