So far I like what I see, but what is with Jessica's accent?

Not that it's really mentioned that much, but Jessica is actually British. Born in London, spent a chunk of her childhood living on a mountain Eastern Europe.

Facinating, first time I heard her speak was from a cartoon show around the eighties. She didn't have an accent so it's a bit of a culture shock for me. But I got use to it since the accent makes her sound sexy.

Good God, is the acting in these abysmal. Bendis' dialogue does NOT work well spoken aloud.

I don't believ it sounded as bad as you think nor do I feel the dialogue is bad when heard. Granted I would of been bored of the book if I read it.

No, I pretty much agree with SP04. I could only get through about five minutes of the first episode before turning it off. It is an exercise in mis-delivery. Brand sounded like she was in some poorly-dubbed anime, which was hilarious since their mouths don't move.
