The videos made it look pretty nice. Found this post on gamefaqs that had more info:

I got 1000/1000 on this game. Here's some info about the game:

Deinonychus - Red
Deinonychus - Green (significantly more durable than their Red counterparts)
Deinonychus - Brown (appears to be identical to its Red counterpart)
Dilophosaurus
Pteranodon (incorrectly named in the manual, these look more like Quetzacoatlus)
Scorpion
Utahraptor
Brachiosaurus (friendly)
Pachycephalosaurus (friendly)
Triceratops (friendly)
Tyrannosaurus Rex - Green
Tyrannosaurus Rex - Red (appears to be identical to the Green variant)
Spinosaurus (aka "Spike")
Weapons:
.45 Pistol
9mm Automatic
.44 Magnum
30-06 Assault Rifle
5.56 Assault Rifle
Light Machinegun
Model 1855 Rifle
Shotgun
ESD-P206
Black Power Rifle

RPG
Plasma Rifle (found next to the pilot's body at the beginning of the game on Hard Mode)
Grenades
* There are a total of 14 levels, all of which are fairly short. The campaign is only 3-4 hours, assuming you don't rush through. Completing the game for the first time unlocks Hard Mode, which is actually significantly easier than Normal on most occasions, courtesy of the incredibly powerful Plasma Rifle.
* Each level has 1 or 2 .50 Gun parts scattered throughout. Collecting all of these pieces unlocks something special in Survival Mode, which will make it easier to get higher scores.
* There are no multiplayer options, but there is a Leaderboard for Survival Mode. Survival Mode is combines several elements of the campaign, including Fortification gameplay, Mounted weaponry, and the standard FPS gameplay. Surviving Waves of enemies unlocks various weapons and power-ups, including bombs that kill every dinosaur on the map, Adrenaline boosts that give you unlimited Adrenaline for 30 seconds, and ammo crates that allow you to replenish all of your weapons' ammo supplies.
Some tips:
* When you complete the game for the first time, and choose to play through the game again on Hard, DO NOT select New Game. Your progress will be lost, and you'll have to unlock each level all over again. Similarly, your Statistics will be reset, so if you killed 49 Raptors with one-shot kills, you'll have to one-shot another 50 to get the Achievement for one-shotting 50 Raptors.
* For the Gunman Achievement, make sure you're killing Dinosaurs. Pteranodons and Scorpions don't count. This also goes for These are not the Hammer--the 20 melee kills Achievement. I'd suggest bashing the crud out of all of the Velociraptors you see in the first level or two for that Achievement.
* All progress made before reaching a Checkpoint is lost when you die. Even if you killed 19 dinosaurs with melee attacks, one-shotted 49 Raptors and killed 4 Scorpions with an RPG, if you die before you reach your next Checkpoint, all of that progress is lost. Just a warning to those who might be thinking of farming a certain segment of a level (honestly though, there's no need to farm. You'll have all the kills you need by your second play-through).
* When playing through Hard, don't rely too much on the Plasma Rifle. While it's incredibly powerful, there are times when it will fail you, especially when there are several attacking enemies. I'd suggest carrying the 5.56 Assault Rifle and Shotgun at all times, regardless of difficulty setting.
* Don't bother trying to get the top spot on the Survival Leaderboard until you've collected all .50 Gun parts from the campaign.
* As soon as you find a .50 Gun part, you can exit the level without completing it and you'll still have the part, so no need to play through the level again if that's all you're there for.
Eh, I think that's good enough.
Unfortunately, sounds like a rental for me. Was that King Kong game any good?
