photo linked from TFWThis looks really nice! The mold doesn't deviate quite as far from a real F-117 as I thought, and the purple reeally brings home the "mindwipe" aspect as well. Although, if we hadn't gotten Walmart ROTF Skywarp this summer, I would have said this was him.

It'd be nice if he has some Brown somewhere; but atleast they got the Purple and Transparent red. Still looking forward to him. Mindwipe is one of my favorite Headmasters.

Yeah, it's definitely too "Skywarp" with that much purple, and no visible maroon on him. Sometimes the difference between evoking one character or another can come from a pretty subtle color difference. I'm not so into the Cybertronian glyphs either, seems like kind of a trendy thing that will just seem out of place in a few years. I'll still get him and think he looks like a great mold, but I don't think this is really going to satisfy my want for a Mindwipe homage, as he's one of my favorite G1 toys.

Am I the only one thinking those purple vents behind the canopy are mimicking the bat mode ears? This is an excellent little piece of reinvisioning, here.

Eh. It may not look like G1 Mindwipe directly, but with the whole bat motif, the stealth vehicle, and the pointy demonic head, he definitely maintains the IDEA of Mindwipe.

I agree. I think the red is supposed to represent maroon, you've got the silver mouth area and the pieces that sort of look like bat ears on his head. the eyes look pretty awesome with the red cover with eye detail under it. then you've got the black and purple, i'd say that there should be a little bit more purple if anything. and you've got the wing type pieces on his back similar to the original figure.
i definitely like it and will probably pick it up. i thought it was going to be a smaller voyager figure.. but it looks to be a fairly decent sized voyager.

The new robot pics are really nice. I like the beady little eyes behind the red visor, and I'm impressed with how clean and kibble-free he seems. His tail fins are tucked neatly into his back, and his main wings hang off his shoulders in a nicely imposing manner. I'm really looking forward to this one
Also, check out the jet-mode's underside. Nice and flat, there, with nothing too obvious hanging out and ruining the profile.

All the extra red that shows up in robot mode does warm me up to his color scheme, and the mold looks as fun as ever. I'm a little unsure of how well those arm blades really store away when not in use though.

Wow, the bot mode looks pretty nice. Only thing I don't like is the weird angles on the hands.
Anyone else think the head vaguely looks like Soundwave's head in the movie?
Not to mention that chest panel also looks like the Decepticon sigil (and has one tampoed on it).

Wow, he turned out pretty awesome; I was optimistic after the Hasbro stock image, but you know how those things go (i.e. Photoshop lies; just ask poor Scattorshot.).
The 50-yard hypno-stare is presented well here, I see, and I'm fond of how the the bat features have been integrated directly into the robot mode. Mindwipe was one of my earliest TFs, but over the years, I have been a little bugged by how such an awesome bat could turn into a relatively mundane-looking robot. (He looks fine, but loses his menace as a bot, for the most part.) This guy solves that. I'm a big fan of a character's "theme" or alt mode features being evident in both forms.
Now we just need Bugly!

a sigil is an inscribed or painted symbol that has magic powers.. and i'm pretty sure neither faction symbols have magic powers.

Also means a seal (apparently), but more importantly it comes with 50% more sexy than "symbol" or "emblem." I've always preferred the latter, as it's more specific, but "sigil" has been picked up to the point that it only means one thing in this fandom, and that has its benefits as well.
"Shield" also has a following, I believe. As does "smiley face."

I'm hoping we get some kind of Bugly (Voy. Starscream repaint?), but I am tying Mindwipe and Bludgeon to the Fallen, as per DW comics.
Basically, Mindwipe is the Fallen's acolyte of the chaos arts. His cyberglyphs are meant to channel Unicron's power. Bludgeon (Wreckage's brother, FWIW), initially has nothing directly in common with the Fallen/Mindwipe (other than being a Decepticon, of course), but after Whirl kills him/nearly kills him, Mindwipe uses Unicron's power to resurrect/rebuild Bludgeon. After this, Bludgeon becomes obsessed with this power and tries to get the Fallen/Mindwipe to teach him how to use it. Instead, he just ends up being the Fallen's assassin.

I'm tempted to call Nebular Starscream that, although the similarity between his and Bugly's shell's colors is a stretch even for me
