Yeah, I just saw the Beachcomber over at TFW. It's not bad, the colors are "cleaner" looking than on Dune Runner. May not get him, though; one of this mold is probably enough for me.

By the way, I noticed last week while watching the ROTF DVD that the Knock-Out repaint (the redbike in that pic) has the symbol - which looks a lot like the one one Sam's arm that he shows to the Twins.

Looks like we be getting a Beachcomber.

Ooh...I was hoping we'd see a Ransack repaint. The Dune Runner repaint is a pleasant surprise too.

Here's hoping we get names for these two and the other unnamed repaints soon.

I've been wishing for a Ransack repaint since I bought the first one. I agree a little more glossy midnight black in bot mode would have really made this deco pop, but I'll take it anyway. I was getting worried they wouldn't do one.

I hope he comes to the US and not just Japan or something. Ideally I'd love a third deco too, to make a little flying bi-plane squad. Not sure that'll happen though, so I may have to grab two of this guy and have them be troopers under Ransack.

Yeah, I know that Ransack is supposed to be a Jetfire-type Seeker, but he's joined my "regular" movieverse Seekers (Starscream, Thundercracker, Thrust, etc) as well, so more are welcome.

AH, as I mentioned in another thread, I think this (or possibly one more aircraft) is the last of the leaked Walmart computer listings, which listed both a "Ransack" and a "biplane" as seperate characters... So this is it. Beachcomber looks fine.

I like that Ransack repaint even if he's not the same biplane model used by the actual Red Baron

Looks good, both seem well done. Nice to see them not waste time, and just go ahead and make the repaints that people will really want out of the molds. The red Autobot symbol is a nice gesture on Beachcomber, so people can easily use him with their Classics.

Hmm... I still hate the robot mode, but I can't deny that the Red Baron homage is exactly what I said I wanted to see from that mold. I may have to get it on principle.

Dune Runner, while I've always had a soft spot for Beachcomber, looked better in the original colors.

Nah, he used the Focker Tri-plane later on, after extensive air time and most of his kills in a Bi-Plane which is a dead ringer for Ransack's alt mode.

Yeah, I may break my repaint rule for this. BIPLANE HELLS YEAH

I'll probably buy the Red Baron because I love the mold so much. I can pass on Beachcomber, though. Really not big on the new-toy-as-old-character schtick.

by three normal ransacks , then get the red one to lead the assualt team then you will have a fleet of bi-planes

YES. Bought and bought. Ze Baron is exactly the repaint I was wanting of that great mold, and the Beachcomber-guy looks pretty nice too (and I don't have that mold yet, so win-win).

Y'know, the movies may be terrible, but they sure have brought us some great and unusual alt-modes Hasbro might not have been willing to risk otherwise. Ransack is something I've wanted since the return of vehicle Transformers. And now I get to buy him again! I just hope this one's joints are a bit tighter. I love Ransack, but he falls apart if you look at him funny.

'Sack Attack! That Bumblebee is particularly good at looking freaked out, too. Those eyes...my Cannon Bee is the same way. Nervous Rookie, Likely to Shoot at Anything That Moves Bumblebee.

I guess from Red Baron, the ideal third repaint would be one in Ransack's G2 colors!

It's what he's most famous for, but only 20 of his 80 kills came in the Fokker Dr.I triplane.

Before that, he flew the Albatros C.III, D.II, and D.III, the Fokker Eindecker, and the Halberstadt D.II.

His D.III is the model he made his "Red Baron" reputation in.

Wow, so the toy is accurate. I consider myself an aircraft buff, so shame on me for not realizing that he flew an Albatross for so long. This just make the repaint that more desirable.

I think I'll imagine that this repaint is the actual vehicle Richthofen flew - he knowingly teamed up with the old Decepticon, killing many more Allied pilot that he would have on his own...

Yay! Now, I wonder if they'd be bold enough to say he blitzes human pizza shops on his "off time"...
