So, 2 guys I have my eyes on: Movie Voyager Fallen and Megatron.

But there's one thing that bugs me about each: Fallen is missing his trademark battlestaff, and Megatron is Green instead of Silver for whatever reason.

So, fellow Allsparkers, make a prediction. Do you think there will be versions of these guys later on that fix these 2 problems? A Fallen with a staff and a Silver Megatron?

Basically, predict the likelyhood.

Also, more importantly, do you think I ought to wait for these hypothetical things to come out or just get the current ones?

The Fallen bug me less because he still LOOKS right, he's just missing his weapon. I'm really contemplating getting the current version. Megs, less so. Thoughts?

I prefer the green, personally, on Megs.

Yeah but I'm kind of a stickler for movie accuracy. Well, kind of. I got the covered-in-chinese version of Voyager Prime as my Prime and I like him. He was close enough.

Think of him as Underwater Megatron! Or still-seaweed-covered!


I don't really expect a silver version, but it might happen.

Also why do you doubt there will be a silver one?

As many versions as we got of the first movie Voyager Megs, I doubt you'd be too disappointed if you waited for a repaint in silver, or at least dull grey, or at least black with orange highlights. It might be an exclusive, you might have to buy other toys you don't want to get it, but it seems likely enough to happen at some point.

A staff for the Fallen is far less likely. That'd be like a remold, and those are pretty rare. I don't remember many cases of TFs getting a new accessory for a repaint release. If he had the staff for the whole movie, if he were going to be in sequels, if it were a more glaring omission... it still probably wouldn't happen.

I would go a head and get The Fallen now. Keep an eye on Megatron he might get a repaint, but if he does it may not be until after spring 2010.

Thanks for the opinion. And yeah the silver Megatron idea comes from how the movie 1 voyager got that bestbuy repaint. (didn't come out in Canada, though). But this line, they're a lot better at getting stuff out in Canada.

Actually, thinking about it, a silver version may well come out. Might be packed in with something, though, like The Fallen's repaint.

Silver or gray Megatron seems very likely to me. The Nemesis 3 Pack would have been the RotF Voyager had the mold been available at the time of production.

A staff for the Fallen is highly unlikely. Unless Takara makes some special set with him or one of the fan producers makes one, I wouldn't count on it unless Hasbro makes a Leader Fallen (which I doubt).

2 silver repaints? i know the best buy one, but what is the second one?

and i kinda doubt rotf voyager megatron will ever see a silver deco, i would say that there might be a chance that leader megatron could see a silver deco by takara, but not from hasbro. and i would pick up the fallen now, i'm sure at some point one of the fans will create and produce a staff. it would be nice if takara would create a screen accurate fallen, but as of now that seems highly unlikely. but you never know, anythings possible.

you're a stickler for movie accuracy, but you have "covered-in-chinese" voyager prime? why not leader prime? mold-wise he's practically perfect. i personally cannot wait for takaras buster optimus prime to be released.. now that version will be the most screen-accurate.

The second silver repaint is from the "Meeting at the Nemesis" Toys R Us exclusive set, currently out. It comes with the Fallen (Same as the Voyager, or darned near) and a deluxe Soundwave w. a G1-like color scheme.

Leader Megatron is already silver/gray. Takara didn't release a second version of Leader Megatron in the 2007 film, and they seem to be skipping by some of our redecos (Tuner Mudflap) or making them exclusives (Stalker Scorponok). I don't think you'll see another silver Leader Megatron from Takara.

Why do you think a silver RotF Megatron isn't likely? I think it's much more likely than Takara doing another silver deco Leader Megatron since there is already one.

I'd take a Silver Voy. Megatron. I like the existing one, but silver is preferable.

I like the "Burning" Fallen repaint better than the green one. If they made a black one with the little fire cracks painted in (like the Robot Heroes toy), I'd prefer that. Especially if it had a peg-on staff. He can't do much as-is except Megatron on folks.

However, I don't see a better Fallen repaint being done (because the possibility for "Premium" style repaints was said to be low this time around) so I'm settling on the Target repaint.

To answer previous queries, I don't really have the space for Leader Class figures, also I don't like dropping that much cash in one go.

I thought the ROTF voyager Prime was close enough, as the basic colors were right, and he actually uses the two large guns in the movie.

In hindsight, I should have picked up the mold during movie 1 when it was even more accurate, but I wasn't collecting anything above a deluxe back then, sadly.

Anywhoo, with Voyager Megs, his basic color is wrong, and with the Fallen, he probably has that staff on him for at least half of his screen time, which is why those were big things for me.

But with The Fallen, he's at least accurate enough without the staff.

ugh.. the gathering at the nemesis megatron doesn't have any silver on him.. he's like a really really ugly grey.

the best buy version is the only silver voyager megatron.



$20 extra dollars, even in this economy, isn't that much more.. especially for leader prime.. i'd understand not wanting to front the money for leader megatron but prime is definitely worth the 20 extra dollars.

& prime doesn't use two large guns in the movie. he uses two fairly medium sized hand guns in both movies.

In answer to the opener- Fallen's probably not going to get any Premium or new version, and Hasbro doesn't seem interested in doing any larger size class version of him. Megatron will probably get a recolor, but there's no guarantee it'll be silver. It's more likely for him than others, though.

Of course, the thing is, a lot of people don't see the point of getting Leader Prime if they are not getting Megatron.
