Yeah, I could do without the repainted Megatron in the set and I already own The Fallen, but that Soundwave repaint in G1 colors is god-like. Seriously. So glad I found this set and purchased it. Now to unload my extra The Fallen figure...

Anyone else pick the set up? It's also available on their website for those without easy access to a TRU.

I think I would have gone in for it if they had actually included the original head mold for Megatron like the back-of-box pics show. Now that I've read TF: Defiance, that version of Megatron's head represents him as Lord High Protector Megatron, versus the redone head design which is him after he comes under the Fallen's influence.

But since he doesn't have it, no big loss. I already have 2 of that mold and didn't really need a new one. Plus, as far as repaints go, If I'm going to get a Soundwave repaint, it'll be the NEST:GA black one, and I prefer the Target "Burning" Fallen to the green version.

It is a good idea for a set overall, but could have been improved in many ways.

This set is on sale for $39.99. I saw it in the Big Red Book TRU just put out. They were good enough to refund me the price difference yesterday at my local TRU. $40 is a pretty fair price for what you're getting in this set.

This one worked out great for me, since I didn't already have the Fallen, meaning all of the figures (or at least the paint jobs in the case of Megatron and SW) were new to me. No plans to get the other, Bee/SW pack, now that I have a better-looking Soundwave for my collection.

Its too bad the Fallen was unchanged, then that could've been used as another of the movie's Primes/

Or even use it as an excuse to get a silver or gray Fallen out there. I mean, if they had time to make new decos for Megatron and Soundwave, it stands to reason that the Fallen could have gotten at least a plastic color swap.

Recall that we did see an individually packaged blue Soundwave on a regular deluxe card, but if that never pans out I'll probably just live without it. I don't really feel like having a fourth movie 1 voyager Megatron, and an extra Fallen to unload.

I haven't picked it up yet, but I fully plan too. I don't have The Fallen yet, I have no version of Megatron in my Movie 1 group, and that version of Soundwave looks fantastic.

$40 is a bit pricey, but it's a good price for what you get.

I'd be much more inclined to buy that set if Soundwave didn't have those sickly yellow translucent discs on him. He'd have been perfect if they just kept them blue.
