Cool. It's probably too much to hope it runs under MacOS, but I could try getting it to work on my XP netbook.

Varnon
Yeah I doubt it will support Macs, but the physical device is still cool enough to warrant purchase.
Vestras
What are they going for these days? I really wish we could get releases like that over here instead of pointless things like Robot Replicas and battle bumpers icon-waspy.gif
NightViper
$40-50 for these two. $45-55 for Grimlock and Trypticon (out November), and $50- $60 for Blaster (out December).
Donocropolis
I love this mold for Ravage, but the price is still way too high. I held out long enough to get Music Label Soundblaster for $30, so I'm hoping to eventually pick this thing up on the cheap.
Bass X0
I do wonder how this Autobot Tigatron fits into Beast Wars continuity.

He was around prior to the beast wars on Earth (as seen in the Botcon '06 comic) so perhaps he's been around for longer than there were Maximals?
Powered Convoy
Could be like Jaguar/Ravage in Binaltech, and some how he survived the 4 million years from the end of Beast Wars until now.

Randy
Vestras
I suppose since Ravage got an upgrade, and guys like Glit have been carried into G1, it's possible Tigatron was a G1 tape we never saw. Or a late comer, and he got upgraded into a Maximal body as seen in Dawn's and viola. Dinobot is harder to accept. And tiny Tripticon even more so hehe
Powered Convoy
Luckily Dinobot was changed to Grimlock like a week after we found out about these.

I wonder if there is any fiction for these at all? Music Label had some, but I don't know if it fits with the normal G1 continuity (I imagine it does).

I think Walky will be pleased to see that this Ravage can Pounce.

The big crazy official Japanese G1 Timeline that came with some later Kiss Play items included Music Label Soundwave's story, but not Convoy's...presumably because he was supposed to be dead during the period when it was taking place. But then, Convoy's is all about stopping Soundwave's plan, so it's all a little vague.
Powered Convoy
I see. I don't recall if Sports Label Convoy or Megatron had any fiction.

Randy
SwiftEagle
They did indeed. The vaguely Magnus-colored Convoy even had his own.
Powered Convoy
I figured, Takara is usually good at giving figures fiction, even if it's really convoluted.

They exist in an alternate shoeniverse.

I see what you did there.
Powered Convoy
These images give a good indication of their size. I think it's pretty perfect for Ravage and Classics/Universe figures.

Based on HLJ, it seems Ravage is considerably more popular than Tigatron (if that wasn't surprising).

Got Ravage earlier today from Image Anime.

$58.00USD before sales tax is what I paid for it.

Def. ranks up there in the catagory of worst "bang for my buck" as far as my recent TFs purchases are concerned.

I basically only bought it for both my love for Ravage and to a lesser extent my love of the more esoteric TFs products that Tak/Tom puts out, ie: Sports Label & Disney Label.

I'm 98.6% sure this will be both my first and last Device Label purchase unless something else comes out and totally blows my mind. The other announced items I can totally do without.

I'd like to the page on Soundwaves Oblivion's translated tech specs, but it was on GEOCITIES!

Hopefully mine will be here Friday. They're taking longer than usual to get from Japan to the US.

Ouch. It only cost me 2700 yen, which is about $30USD at current exchange rates. I figure their suppliers are charging even less, so that's at least a 100% markup.

I wonder what happens if you plug them both in?

they fight. Probably. Or ignore eachother.

...

I think they'd robotically claw the air near the other than walk away grumbling. I doubt it would be programmed for much more than that.

(Wait for walky to show us. He got tigatron to be SG Ravage, and you know he got Ravage, so just wait...)
Powered Convoy
I got mine today, very cool. But fragile too, Ravage broke pretty much right out of the box (split the part where the USB goes in). Gluing it made the USB prevented it from going back in though, and I broke the button (not realizing you push it in) trying to get it back in. icon-screamer.gif

Randy
It's Walky!
Got mine today, too.

I'm surprised and happy that whether you get Ravage or Tigatron, the little program can display either. I got Ravage! But I can still let Tigatron roam my screen.

Damn, I don't like the sound of that...
Powered Convoy
My Tigatron is fine. The glued plastic parts coming separated I can't explain, my button breaking is my fault trying to fix it.

Randy
Blindmouse
Anyone know a way to get these to work on a Mac?

The box says it can but the manual says nothing about it.
Blindmouse
Well I found out what happens when you plug them both in.
They both walk around following the same pattern.
It's kinda lame.

Dragstrip
This might be an ignorant question, but it will make or break my purchase...Can Ravage fit inside G1 Soundwave's chest?
Powered Convoy
Definitely not. Too long. He'd be too thick for the G1 figure too (unless you have Soundblaster or the 2007 Hasbro reissue).

Randy
Dragstrip
So does that mean he fits into Soundblaster and the Hasbro 2007 reissue, or just that he's thin enough to fit theoretically, but still too long? I seem to remember a pic of the USB hub blaster with Tigatron in his chest, so if Tigatron and Ravage fit inside the USB hub blaster, and NOT inside Soundwave, I'll take this to mean that Steeljaw and Ramhorn won't fit inside USB hub blaster. Wow, I just confused myself too...
It's Walky!
USB Ravage is twice the size of any cassette-based Ravage. There's no way he could fit into any Soundwave.
Powered Convoy
^ What he said. It's just too long, and I can't compare right now, but I'm thinking too wide for all but the double tape deck figures.

Device Label Blaster can fit the G1 Cassettes in his chest, that's what you must be remembering.

Randy
Dragstrip
Maybe it was a pic of USB Blaster with Steeljaw in his chest or something. Ok, thanks!
C16
Why would you want to put a USB drive into a cassette player? That's stupid.

yep.
Dragstrip
Why would I want to stick Ravage in Soundwave's chest? Gee, I dunno, why would you want to stick The Matrix in Prime's?
C16
Because the Matrix goes in the leader's chest. A USB drive doesn't go in a cassette player, despite who the characters are.
Blindmouse
Oh come on!
Every time a cassette gets updated people want to know if it will fit in Soundwave!
It's not unheard of at all.

It doesn't matter what Ravage transforms into, as long as it looks awesome when he comes out.
C16
Sorry, I guess that pesky "common sense" that I have prevents me from not automatically realizing a USB drive won't fit in a tape deck, let alone be unaware of how dumb it would be.
Dragstrip
Ravage historically lives in Soundwave's chest. It was a simple question. The answer is no unfortunately. Get over it.
C16
Yes, he lives in there. As a cassette. Don't blame me because you didn't realize that.
Esser-Z
Heaven forbid people use things in ways other than their designed function!
C16
Especially when it makes absolutely no real world sense at all! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go put a CD on my record player.
Jeremy
The other new mold Ravage we just got in Universe/Henkei is a cassette, and I understand he fits inside G1 Soundwave's chest if you really hate the G1 cassettes and want an updated form to use.
