Zod and his soldiers release a virus into the air that turns humans into zombies. The only way to stop it is to make an antidote from the blood of another Kryptonian. After Lois is infected, Chloe pleads with Clark to donate his blood to stop the epidemic, even though it risks outing him to Zod.
So, that last part really didn't happen at all. There was no "pleading" and Chloe and Clark don't even know about Zod yet.
Anyway, how exactly did Hamilton turn a single sample of Clark's blood into an antidote, and produce it in massive quantities like that, in so short of a timeframe? The wonders of comic book science, I guess, but it really came of as quite ridiculous. And I wonder if we're actually going to see any storyline consequences of the aftermath of the zombie infection, or will everything just be back to normal in Metropolis in next week as if it never happened? Given this show's track record, I'm betting on the latter.
