I sure do, when i was 9 years old in 1990 i played them. I actually first played Friday The 13th for NES from LJN when i was 8 in 1989 and i had a hard time with it, such a fraustrating game it was. Now A Nightmare on Elm Street the game for NES which wasn't too bad but a BIG improvement over Friday The 13th but is still flawed.
Has anyone seen the reviews by AVGN?

I remember Friday the 13th was the cheapest NES game I saw back in the day. I saw it at Kaybee for 10 bucks, which was the lowest price I had seen on a Nintendo game up to that point. My parents were nice enough to pick it up for me out of the blue one day do to its low price. I had...some fun with it I guess.

Don't remember the Nightmare on Elm Street game, but definitely Friday the 13th. One of the most frustrating games I have ever played. Between protecting the campers, random fights with Jason (to have hime come back), and the contant walking around it wore on the nerves.
I've watched the reviews bye AVGN.

I remember playing Friday the 13th. hell, I might have it sitting around here somewhere. Never beat it, though. I think I ended up reading a strategy guide on how to beat it but never got around to it.
And, naive as I was at the time, i assumed you had to find the knife weapon to be able to kill Jason, because there was a knife going into the hockey mask in the intro or something, and I thought that was a hint. I tended to over analyze a lot in my games back then.

So is this all GG does? Make posts titled "Hey, who remembers *insert media from the 80s here*?" Because it's getting old, real fast.
On topic.
Yeah, I have both games. Never did like the Nightmare on Elm Street one very much and it's been gathering dust for a decade. I have a certain nostalgic affection for Friday the 13th, though, even if it isn't a very good game. Break it out every now and then and play through defeating Jason the first time (never have the enthusiasm to kill him the second time).

Never played Nightmare On Elm Street, but I did play friday The 13th, and it sucked big time. Not only do you have to beat Jason three times to beat the game, but there were two ways to get a Game Over. (Losing all the characters you play as and sucking so much that Jason manages to kill all the children in the game.)
Please stop asking if we remember games that sucked. Nerd's orders.

but dude, whether you like it or not, he is generating fairly decent threads and it's not like he's spamming the place up (most of the time) so let him have his fun, other people seems to be replying and enjoying it. If they didn't his threads would drop off or the mods would do somat about it.

I do. IMHO, LJN should've stuck to making toys like those kick-arse Thundercats action figures.

Much as I hate to admit it...he does generate good disscussion threads.
Ironbite-also, I've never played the games and after watching the Nerd play 'em...don't need to.

I remember playing the Nightmare on Elm Street game a lot with my sister (it being about the only multiplayer game we had other than Super Mario Bros). We used to fight about who got to use the wizard upgrade. Had some creepy stuff going for its time, like a flying head boss that dripped blood all over the place.

I agree that Elm Street the game was better then Friday The 13th which sucked BTW. And what do you think of LJN games? they sure sucked except for a few.
