Who knows how accurate this list is but its fun to imagine which characters we would like to see in the next game.



My ideal ten characters would be -

SF1 - Lee and Geki (more or less clones of SF3's Yun and Ibuki respectively but with their own signature moves too)
SFA - Karin and Rainbow Mika (being in SFIV would given them a ton of new basic attacks after having only a shallow amount before, especially Mika)
SF2 - DeeJay and T. Hawk (have to have these two just to complete the Super Street Fighter II cast)
SF3 - Dudley and Makoto (just to please the SF3 fanbase)
and two brand new characters (maybe a new boss character and a new female)

I am not interested in a single of these characters. That's a pretty piss poor list, probably stemming from the fact that most good characters were already included in SF IV.

Still, I would think Charlie is more memorable than these guys, except for being dead and all...

So, will this be dlc or a brand new game?

Also, I want Alex and Hugo on that list.

Is this coming out for consoles?

I dunno about Guy and Cody. I heard they were planning to put Rolento in, but couldn't because the team making SFIV didn't have the license to add Final Fight charcters.

And T. Hawk and De Jay are EX-cellent ideas! That will help complete the SF2 roster.

You don't really expect them to appear in a regular Street Fighter game, do you?

Backgrounds, maybe, but not as playable characters.

I'm a big SFIII fan so I dig their choices. Problem with characters from that game is their similarities with those in II. Something tells me we're never going to see Remy again. Not that I'm complaining, but I'd love to have Yun or Yang available again. Didn't they cameo in IV already?

Hang on, shouldn't Rose be dead too? I thought Bison used her body as a host or something? Not that I'm complaining, she's one of my faves. I've barely touched the game for months though, hasn't stuck with me the way third strike and alpha 3 did.

But anyway, I really like the rumoured list, except I'd swap Cody for Haggar (I've been wanting him in a SF game for ever) and add in Eagle (loved this guy in Alpha 3) and Yun.

Gouken was never dead to begin with. Akuma's attack never killed him, it just rendered him unconscious for an extended peroid of time and Ken and Ryu thought he was dead. And Bison also survived Akuma's suprise atack in SSF2T

And yes, Rose was possessed. Bison did this until the body he got in Street Fighter II was completed. In the Street Fighter IV Trainer's Guide, it revealed she survived the possession, but had no memory of the ordeal.

Heh, as if people weren't pissed enough.

I heard Dee Jay and T. Hawk could end up being DLC characters.

I wish Capcom would surprise the hell out of everyone and use some of their obscure characters no one ever thought they'd see again, like Ken 2010, Colonal Suwada or Skullomania.

Yeah, Skullomania (or Skullo for short) dosen't belong to Capcom. It belongs to the other company that helped Capcom make the Street Fighter Ex series (which was utter crap, IMO.)

Ken 2010 (aka Kevin Starker) is not canon. The Japanese version Street Fighter 2010 was different. Lok here to see what I mean:

And don't get me started on Sawada. Street Fighter: The Movie sucked as bad as the Street Fighter EX series, and the movie it was based on sucked as well. Same goes for The Legend Of Chun-Li.

But i would still take all three of them over T.Hawk's dumb ass.

Eh, it takes place in "the future", so they could do whatever they wanted with that. Street Fighter 2010 was just an awesome game and I'd take any form of love for it I could get.



Sawada was probably the least offensive part of the 90s Street Fighter film and was actually not too bad a character in his appearances in the USA cartoon (they gave him a decent design and some nifty special moves). Never played Street Fighter the Movie the Game to see what he was like there.

But he WOULD definately a character choice no one would expect...

Find the ROM to the arcade version and play it. You'll be sickened at how it's made. (Hint: The game uses digitalized images.)

Does Sawada appear in any canon aside from the live action movie? That guy can't speak English, right? It was like watching a character from a poorly dubbed Godzilla movie tossed into another film.

It's worth playing just see Cammy's poses.

He exists only within the continuity of the live action movie, yeah. Aside from the movie, he was also in Street Fighter the Movie the Game and the USA Street Fighter cartoon.

The show retained his "Godzilla dubbing", too.

I think Capcom owns him. But then, I thought they owned the EX characters, too, so I could be wrong.

It's official, my friends, Super Street Fighter IV is on in spring.

It will have T. Hawk and they have revaled new fighter Juri, a female Tae Kwan Do fighter from Korea.

Plus the original fighters get more Ultra Combos, online play will be enchanced, and there will be tweaks to game balance.

Prepare for Round 2 this spring. Don't be like M. Bison in this pic:

I am intrigued by this Juri, intrigued enough to pay for DLC but nowhere near intrigued enough to re-buy SF4.

It was noted it will not be priced as a full retail game, and there will be some sort of bonus for people that already own SFIV.

Agreed. And they're fixing online gameplay, so they might use this time to try and fix the problems like in-game lag and such.

EDIT: I saw some pics of some Japanese magazine, and Dee Jay will be in as well, so we should be glad to finally get the full SSFIIT roster this time.

Kick ass demonstration video. T Hawk's Ultra Combo isn't as flashy like Balrog's, but looks liek ti can be sued for a quick finish on an opponet close to death.

Lord, Dee Jay's facial features look kinds creepy in a game like SFIV.

Imagine if this news surfaced around the same time everyone was calling RE5 racist, we'd still be feeling the effects of that jive storm.

I'm really liking Juri (is that with a 'Y' sound like Juni & Juli?). She looks really cool, and her moves remind me of Kim from Fatal Fury. Speaking of Juni & Juli, I'd love to see them make a return as I loved playing them in SFA3.

Dee Jay and T. Hawk are nice to see back, I hope T. Hawk is well balanced like in SSF2THDR. Speaking of balance, they have to fix Zangief in SF4.

Anyways i just thought of the one thing that would make this SSFIV worth it......slow down, or weaken Kens Fierce Shoryuken.

that turns out to be a tweak i'll gladly pay full price.

Amen to fixing Zangief. Anyone who plays him online could grab their opponent easily because of the lag issue.

I know that but they could've toned it down, they've changed stuff in the past; it's not as if Dhalsim still gets his fire powers by eating spicy curry.

Japan's a country where blackface gags are still considered to be in good taste. So nothing would surprise me.
