Anyone else watching this on Cartoon Network? This might be the funniest superhero toon I've seen since Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
Over the top, hammy action, with characatures of the Marvel Heroes. My favorite line, so far, has come from Thor.
"Mine hammer Mjlnir does well, but as a shovel it sucketh eggs!"
All this and, if I'm not mistaken, a theme song sung by the Offspring.
A lot of awesome in a cheesy, cutesy package. Loving it!

The ads during it kept saying it (the hour premiere) would be on Saturday at 8:30 AM. For those that missed it.
I loved Cap in the second episode; great dialog.

Quick question but is the 'Infinity Sword' or the fractals in any Marvel or Avengers lore?
And what's the voice used by Moleman? I can place Dr. Doom's voice as semi Snively of Sonic the Hedgehog but Moleman is stumping me.

Mole Man is voiced by Ted Biaselli.

I watched the first episode and didn't really like it so far. It seemed to me like what everyone was afraid Batman: The Brave and the Bold would be. I mean, the Hulk being a booger and eating snot? Mole-Man burping and farting constantly? Yeah kid's find those funny because...apparently they do or something.
That said I did snicker a few times and will give the show a few more chances to wow me.

It reminds me of Twisted Toyfare Theatre without the mean-spiritedness.
Anyone know if they'll let Spidey in this show?

Wow, Hulk went from not too bright to "very special" I see.
Also, there's how many thousands of characters to choose from? Why oh why was there a new "hero" created for the show?

Mole Man is voiced by Ted Biaselli.
I figured the voice actor used another character's voice for his take on Mole Man because it sounds pretty familiar. But imdb says Ted is a recent voice actor.

Reptil exists in the comics, albeit he was introduced very recently. he was featured in the Initiative Annual, which may as well have been called "Spotlight: Reptil"

Captain America is awesome!
I just hope the future episodes are more in that vein then the pilot which was pretty terrible.

The Captain is so frikken hammy it almost hurts. I think this show has tons of potential and if the writing keeps improving like it did from the pilot to the second episode, we'll only be halfway through the season and have the best show on television.

So the pilot ISN'T a good example of the kind of humor prevalent in the show?
Because I watched it on You Tube and could hardly stand it (only the bit at the beginning, with Stan Lee and the indestructible ribbon elicited a laugh from me).
I'll give it another shot, but just because you guys insist it gets better fast.

The third episode wasn't as good as the second one. It seemed like they focused more on the story and moral lesson than on jokes. We ended up with more sight gags than the clever dialog in episode 2.

On Sunday, CN aired all three episodes together.
Someone (either my wife or parents) just put it on Cartoon Network for my 3 yr old daughter. She absolutely loved it.
Later in the evening, she was even twirling around saying "I'm a super hero!"
I have mixed reactions to this. On one hand, some of the humor is very irritating. On the other hand, Ms Marvel and Captain America are hilarious.
When Captain America started dropping sayings in Ep 2 like "If that's president Roosevelt, tell him I'm not here" or when he talked about "smooth jazz" and other 40s stuff, it was hilarious. Austin Powers type "man out of time" stuff. Though with a man from the 40s.

I finally watched a few episodes of this.
Now, let me begin by saying I get the premise. This is all about giving kids an easy to grasp bit of fiction to push the pre-existing toyline whilst throwing in a few sly nods to the decades old characters. Fair enough. But from what I've seen, I'm not sure it's making best use of its potential. One thing that struck me is that to my mind there doesn't seem to be too much humour drawn from the established characters. The heroes specifically all seem generally interchangeable archetypes. I know part of that is again down to the target demographic (I likewise caught the 'even heroes get afraid' moral in one ep) but given it's using obviously pre-existing characters I'd kind of hope for more 'mythology gags'. There have been some ("DOOM HAS SPOKEN!!" "And is Doom finished? Good. As I was saying...") but overall it feels like it's missing ripe potential.
The other negative- near everyone is voiced by Tom Kenny. I know he does alot of voice work and a few roles would be fine but he's the majority of the cast and it's distracting. On a related note, I'm amused Charlie Adler is Doom. Adler's been one of my favourites since I was a kid and you can always trust him for hammy comedy villains.
It should be noted that I'm not hating the show but I felt my negative impressions offered more room for discussion.

I watched the 'Mighty Modok' episode yesterday. A definite step up from the ones I'd seen thus far. Loved the opening, with MODOK explaining he could take over if he had a fractyl and the Watcher being referred to as a nitpicky fanboy for how much he knows

Also enjoyed the bite at the end when Wolverine told Tony to cram his 'When we work togethor' moral. It still seems a bit uncertain of what audience it wants but it seems to be improving. Also like the clever plot use that a giant fractyl can splinter into smaller ones, thus providing a driving force for later episodes.

The more I see of this, the more I have one overriding criticism- slow down. It kind of seems to want to do for Marvel want Teen Titans did for DC, but that show was never afraid to be subtle and steady where needed. This show is frantic, there always has to be a gag, fight or bodily emission filling the screen. This actually hurts some of the better jokes, since the fast pace gives an air of "See how funny we are? Ha ha, hurry up and laugh!".
