I personally prefer the vertical bumper feet. Continues the movie style of somewhat atypical anatomy. Gives him these fairly tall arches for feet, instead of the usual flipper slabs or whatever.
He also looks better, and I believe a bit more screen accurate, with his door panels swung up diagonally behind his shoulders like wings.

Yeah, but with the vertical feet, the little peg on one side rests on the ground. That reduces stability, could break it off, or scratch the surface it's on. If it was flush, I'd agree 100%.

Eh, he's pretty stable anyways. I just angle that toe out slightly, and it seems fine. I suppose if you stick him on a glass shelf or something that's prone to scratches it could be an issue, but as for me, if he's on a shelf at all, it's a wooden one, so there's no real worry there.

I have the bumper halves horizontal, but flipped upside down so the "Volt" script is facing down.

Those are some good pics of that figure, Suspy. You caught angles that makes those calf kibble windows look good!

Does he get 290 miles per energon cube?

I was really planning on skipping Jolt, because I thought he handled his kibble in an extremely clunky way. After reading your review about him having a smooth transformation that results in a solid robot though, I gave him a chance, and I'm glad I did. Positioning the doors as wings is a must, though. With his vaguely avian legs and the wings, and his whips deployed, he looks like a really kickass, lithe, aerial melee warrior.

Just got this one, and i think it's nifty. The only thing that seems to be off is the fact that i cant lock down the torso/backpack at all. anyone have a solution for this?

I am LOVNG Jolt...His being the most useless guy in the whole movie is totally made up for in his really kickass toy.
only had one problem with him...his head is 2 pieces, the head part and and a smaller second flap like piece on the back that covers the hole that attaches to the neck ball joint...that little piece popped off while i was positioning his head and i had to glue it back on with Krazyglue, or else his head was loose and kept falling off...
So, be careful with his head. other than that...hes pure love and win =]
