The Teen Titans animated series isn't part of the DCAU/Timmverse. It inhabits similar spaces to Batman: The Brave and the Bold and The Batman.

Like Fang said, this series does not take place in the DCAU. As for which Robin it is, it's been hinted throughout the series that this is Dick Grayson.

yes as others say its not in timmverse canon, however time wise it would have to fall either before Dick is in collage (batman:sub zero) or Prior to Robin appearing in the original run of Tas. or perhaps during down time during the fisrt few seasons of Tas.
bot that's just going by robin's age.
it does not fit into the canon. it is a show in and of itself

I kinda like to think that its set in "The Batman"'s Universe, due to both Robin being similar looking.

While we pretty much agree that the Teen Titans series isn't part of the Timmverse, there ARE some fun little links between the two:
- In the Static Shock episode "Hard As Nails", where Static teams up with Batman for the second time, Batman mentions that the absent Robin (Tim Drake) is with the Titans. This was a nod from writer Paul Dini, who knew very little about the actual cartoon, as it was still early in development at the time.
- When Kid Flash guest stars in Teen Titans, he is voiced by Michael Rosenbaum, the same actor who voiced the grown-up Flash in Justice League.
- A grown-up Speedy appeared in the Justice League Unlimited episode "Patriot Act", with the same voice actor and costume from Teen Titans.
I personally like to think that there was a Timmverse version of the Titans whose membership included Dick, Wally, and Roy, and Tim is involved in a second generation of the team like in the comics, but that's just me.

It is scary how many obsessive DCAU fans can't accept TT isn't part of that universe. The same ones who argue that little kids should be fine being pushed into a nearly 20 year old series of chronology. Heaven forbid each generation get its own version of these icons.

Batman: TAS canon isn't even internally consistent when you consider that ridiculous Batwoman movie, so it's not surprising Teen Titans doesn't fit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. It doesn't necessarily have to work, but Robin's age between the two series seems to point in that direction.

Oh good. Now I feel much better about the franchise. Glad it was just a bad dream...

Hmmm, The titan showed their robin eventually becoming nightwing. So which robin became nightwing, and you got your answer.

And snogging Starfire, which, to my knowledge, applies to only one Robin.
But yeah, the TT cartoon explicitly shows (a version of) the first generation team (minus Donna Troy as Wondergirl).
I was always hoping there'd be a time-travel episode showing off the modern team (with Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven as the group's "teachers" --highlighting the difference between the first-gen's "clubhouse" and the formalized "training camp" that the team became).

Well, that was that dystopian episode which showed them no longer being a teens or titans.

Who knows what we would have gotten if the show hadn't been cancelled.

It did technically happen. Batman versus evil alternate universe Batman while being assisted by Batman on steroids, cowboy Batman, vampire Batman, psychic dwarf Batman, Iron Batman, and pirate Batman.
