Okay, with the next flood of new toys about to hit, I still have a bunch of stuff sitting unopened (and I haven't even bought Leader Jetfire the two times I've seen it). I kinda expect to find even more toys tomorrow when I go to Topeka, but other than stuff that would be really quick to review (like RPMs or Robot Heroes) I won't jump ahead of all the options listed in this poll.

Open to multiple choices per person, so I can gauge interest in general. icon-hotrod.gif

(bear in mind my vote only included Stratosphere and them because I've been waiting for someone to either work out the toy's scale or provide useful measurements so I can do it myself.)
Dvandom
Without opening the box, I can tell you Stratosphere is about 9" long. Keeping in mind that it's not exactly a C-17 (the tail alone guarantees that), that makes Stratosphere around 1:230 scale. If he were 1:160 scale to be in scale with Demolishor, the toy would be 13" long, so the little Optimus Prime is a bit out of scale with Stratosphere.

Yeah, I know it's a composite jet, but I'll go with the C-17 for simplicity.
Dvandom
For purposes of standard scales, call Stratosphere Z-scale (1:220) and you won't be too far off. Now, if you have access to European model train stores, you can even get Z-scale scenery....

There used to be a shop in Nashville that carried a small selection of N and Z scale railroad stuff. I've actually from time to time considered getting some N scale railroad accessories to make a diorama for Mobile Suits in Action(!!) which tend to hover around the 1:160 mark. So expensive though...
Dvandom
Yeah, I started haunting the N-scale racks when I got into clickyBattletech, and did get a few pieces of scenery (oil storage tanks, a few houses, a viaduct). N's easier to find these days, Hobby Lobby even has some. But Z-scale is pretty specialist over here.

I voted the Voyagers.
Dvandom
Just got Long Haul, need to decide if I want it to have a review to its lonesome (not buying Grindor) or fold it in with batch 2....

EvilEyeSigma
Might as well just lump it in.
Nighthawk.
stratosphere would be intresting ... especialy with the mini prime feature I have been thinking how good it would be if the made some kind of transformer that could carry smaller ones inside while in vehicle form then stratosphere came along
Dvandom
Okay, I've started the Voyagers review, figure on it taking me a week, give or take. Feel free to keep voting if you haven't already, though, for second place. Sigh, no love for Robot Replicas.

---Dave, also cranking out a quick RPM review tonight...turns out there's metal inside them, just not on the outside.
Dvandom
I didn't vote, but my "hidden" vote was for Human Alliance Bumblebee, which I have now opened and started reviewing. If I can wrest it back from the Spartan MegaBlok figure that jacked it.

What would you recommend as a good Stratosphere gun?

I looked into RoC Joes because they have giant missile launchers...
Dvandom
I tried the RoC Joes I own, but none of the big guns had appropriate connectors.

Energon Weapons?

Energon Weapons?

I don't really have any...
Dvandom
At this point, I think I'll finish off HA Bumblebee (which I rather like so far) and do the Marvel Combiners, then set up a new poll to reflect things I've bought in the past few weeks, plus the Alternity Megatron and Henkei Smokescreen I got from my Tokyo trading partner. icon-hotrod.gif

Well, Jin Saotome put some RoC Joe gun with his Octane custom, but I can't figure out who it comes with...
TheMightyMollusk
But did he alter the gun to fit?

I dunno. He doesn't say.

I dunno. He doesn't say.

I'd be willing to bet that he did.
EvilEyeSigma
Well, it seems that he used Cover Girl's launcher and modded the peg, as that's the closest one I can find to the one he used.
