ALEX KURTZMAN and ROBERTO ORCI began their collaboration as a writing team in the 90's on the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. After a successful stint on Jack of all Trades and Alias, they soon made the jump to the big screen with feature films such as The Island, The Legend of Zorro, and Mission Impossible III. Their biggest box office success came with the 2007 hit Transformers. Since then they have been moving at full speed on two of the summers biggest films: Star Trek and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. They have a full plate of projects lined up for the future including the hotly anticipated Atlantis Rising and Cowboys and Aliens.

Maybe I can ask them how the hell Kirk jumped from cadet to captain.

It's rather obvious that it's because Pike had a male-fondness for him...icon-fire.gif

This is definitely cool for them to be attending, and the first time in a long while that I'm tempted to go autograph hunting. My ST: Countdown yearns for signatures!

Yeah, my bag of "jive to get signed" is stupidly huge. I'm not sure how the panels are going to work on Saturday, with SO MANY of the guests ONLY being available Saturday.

Kind of sucks that we won't be able to see the movie before asking them questions this year. I hope some dumbass doesn't spoil the plot for everyone in the room in the process of asking a question.

It'll happen, sooner or later. Was attending Anime Expo 2002 and "Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen" was just released on December 2001, and I asked the creator of RK Nobuhiro Watsuki a certain question that had a majority of the attendees at the panel groaning. Thing is, I never said the spoiler directly, but those that groaned immediately knew what I was talking about. =P I was almost certain that I was going to be pounced on after the panel was over.

I didn't attend the one in 2007. Of course, many people had already seen the movie the night before, and they warned that the panel would have spoilers.

This year, if we are going to get to see it, it'd be at the Paramount party, which is after their panel anyways. Are there leaked scripts/plots online or something? I mean, a lot of the basic plot itself is in the comics, but beyond that, I didn't know how much solid information was known.

There was a leaked script online but one of the early drafts. Compounding the whole spoiler issue is the novelization, which is close enough to the final version.
Mouse_Pad
Yeah, I may just skip this panel out of fear of being spoiled.
It's Walky!
I can't wait to ask them how to get into voice acting.

We could spend the whole panel talking about Star Trek instead.... icon-ironhide.gif

I'm going to ask them how to work at Hasbro.
