This is it, the Grand Finale of Season 3 (And possibly all of Animated)!
Part 1 Premiers 5/16! Part 2, 5/23! Get ready!

I'd like to go ahead and preorder an optimis prime jetpack
What the hug! Omega Lugnuts! Yes please! I'll take 3
So glad starscream didn't hug things up again.
No wonder there are so many repaints. Stick a protoform in a pile of scrap and it's a transformer.
The only thing better than Omega lugnuts woulda been omega waspinaters. Poor waspinater.... He had plans..

I liked Optimus with Apex Armor (God Ginrai's gauntlets & jetpack).
Nice to finally see how the whole Optimus crew came together.
Also, a guest appearance by female Starscream and a whole lotta Arcee.

Wingpack Optimus reminds me of a cross between God Ginrai(Gauntlets) and Victory Saber(shoulder guns and large wings).
He needs some platform shoes to complete his look.

how are they going to wrap this all up ( potentially the entire series ) in 20 minutes? seems like this episode should have happened last week if anything.

OMG what an episode. So many backstory finally revealed. The last of Prime backstory from getting out of the academy to getting the space bridge repair ship and crew. Prowl's back story revealed and help explain why he never finish hiis cyber ninja training. Plus we finally know what happen to those protoforms. Apex Armor flight pack Optimus Prime! Most have that. Also those Lugnut sentinel's!

Didn't see those coming but glad they did. Susan Blue is still great as every as Arcee. Man, next week can't come fast enough for the ending.

Doesn't seem to me like there's all that much left to wrap up. The Decepticons attack Earth, fight the Autobots, the Autobots win, and Optimus vanquishes Megatron. Somewhere in there Sari's origin is revealed and Arcee is rescued from the moon.

I actually suggested (back when the possibility of an Omega Supreme toy seemed more likely) that it be remolded/repainted into Lugnut, since I didn't think he'd get his own Leader class toy. Seems like I'm not the only one who thought that. We really have to get these two toys - Omega Supreme and Lugnut Sentinel (or whatever they're called). Bring back Animated after the movie if only for this reason.
Arcee's situation is really creepy. Like Galvani neuroelectrically manipulating frog legs. I am glad she got some focus, even if it only seems to be her memories being replayed (sort of). I hope that since this episode focused on her teacher role that she actually gets in on the fight next week with her katanas. Her body seemed to more closely resemble the toy than it did in season 1, anyway.
Ratchet really wants to use that hammer. Or at least see somebody use it.
Re: Prime's jetpack - the first part we see looks just like Classics Jetfire's jetpack, although the wings are very obvious God Ginrai 9and in turn Cyb. Prime) wings. I liked the shoulder mounted cannons and forearm fins. I hope the upcoming toy (?) is a close resemblance.
More backstory was great.

All of the flashbacks and Decepticon scheming and squabbling were pure gold.
Unfortunately, I think we're looking at another "Human Error" here: lots of great and memorable character moments rolling around in a thin-stretched, poorly structured script.
Bumblebee warping to the moon and the 'Bots then eavesdropping on Arcee added absolutely nothing to the story. Prime not being able to fly likewise added nothing to the story, and that "To Sell Toys!" sequence will be even more of a shame if the alleged "Wingblade Prime" doesn't even come out.
As for Arcee: not only was her treatment extremely inconsistent and confusing--when can she think and reason and when can't she? is she "alive?"--but at times it was truly ghoulish. And Shockwave's repeated "I have the codes now--oops, no I don't!" was probably the most blatant example of killing time for its own sake that this entire series has ever had.
I don't expect much resolution in the next episode. They'll probably tie up the Earthbound events, but not the whole series.

Ya know, thinking about it...I see Arcee staying on Earth after everything is said and done. Her memories are scrambled eggs, so she'll probably "wipe" back to Pre-Great War Teacher. Factor in that Sari wanted a Car in "Human Error" and Issac Sumdac hasn't gotten around to replacing the Tutor Bot...I think Arcee's niche for the Earthbased Autobots has been found.

I have to agree. I was disappointed.
I really can't help but thinking 'Omega Lugnut? THAT'S what you're going to end the series with? REALLY?' After so much awesome, I really think I'm just going to bet let down. I can't see the Heil Sentinel storyarc on Cybertron getting a nice conclusion, and I bet we get no wrap-up for Sari. I just can't see it happening with this setup.

I have no reservations with this. This was perfect, and I can't wait to see the resolution. I don't at all mind the stalling to build suspense, and I love the backstory stuff. Prime and Prowl are inching toward being as three-dimensional as Ratchet.
I'm also not going to call poor plotting having seen only half of the episode.

Enjoyable overall, especially with more of Lugnut and Shockwave's rivalry. I was actually expecting Shockwave to be above such things, but it was great seeing him mess around and fighting with Lugnut.
The bit with Prime flying around was hilarious, since you rarely get to see him have much emotion. I admit I was expecting pretty much a scene for scene parody of the Iron Man movie though
Megatron once again proves that he has control of the situation, which is nice. I just wonder if he intentionally left Starscream alive, or if it was one of his few mistakes.
The Prowl flashback really goes to show much much he's changed these past few seasons.
This show just loves it's big and epic finales.

Yeah, I'm hoping for an Ani. OS even more now than before, since it has another character remold built-in. And if they do make a Ratchet Legends or mini-TF (see ROTF Stratosphere/Prime) for OS, they should make a legends/miniTF Megatron (or even Lugnut himself) for the Lugnut Sentinel.

Pretty good episode, though it did feel a bit like they were running in too many directions at once considering how much they have to wrap up next time.
Arcee and Ratchet, Megatron and Prime, fighting off 3 Omegas, perhaps reviving the original Omega if his spark is still online without those fragments, etc. Plus this is the end so it'd be nice to get some kind of status on Cybertron's situation, with Ultra Magnus still down and Sentinel clashing with the council. The predictable end would be Prime defeating Megatron, then being elected Magnus by the end, but I could also see them handing the hammer back to a revived Ultra Magnus and choosing to stay on Earth. The second option I see as far more likely. You don't leave an Autobot on spark support for half a season if you aren't bringing him back.
I predict Ratchet somehow gets OS running and the big guy is instrumental in dealing with his clones. He's got to get up there to fix Arcee anyways. And guess who has perfect knowledge of making things work now? Sari of course, and she's got a long history of working alongside Ratchet at this point.
As for this episode, there were a lot of nice parts. We see Femscream pop back up, Prime gets a Jetfire backpack upgraded to a God Ginrai one, Arcee at least HAS memories, even if she's glitching in and out. And we finally learn why a ninja is on a maintenance ship, which has been a persistant question since episode 1. Prime's backstory finishing up was nice as well. Sentinel solidifies his place in total jerkdom at that point. Have we ever gotten a Transformers cartoon that gave so much backstory on the characters? Even Beast Wars didn't say much anything about the maximals prior to the Axalon mission.
The one sided rivalry between Shockwave and Lugnut is great. Shockwave's "Have you blown a Diode, I'm trying to work here!" reminds me of that one Dr. Smoov video, Shockwave's Burden. "This is my house, you *@#&!"

Solarstorm

The backpack is multiple references at once.
The initial red boosters (before stabilizers) were shorter versions of G1/Classic Jetfire's fastpack boosters.
The version with the wings seems to be a cross between God Ginrai and Galaxy Force Prime.
