Hi folks! I've always believed Universe Powerglide would make an ideal Skyquake homage--especially if the clear plastic in PG's turbines, ending up on the sides of his torso, were the same amber as SQ's clear chestplate. Trick is, I have no artistic skills whatsoever and so can't create even a sketch of what I'm thinking of. Do any of you bold digibashers feel like taking a crack at it?

I can't exactly pay people for this or anything--I'm just really curious, and if someone felt like trying it, I'd certainly appreciate it. Thanks!
Jeremy
Though I think the Silverbolt mold is a much better fit for the general look and feel for the original Skyquake, I wouldn't mind seeing what someone could come up with for this idea. I'd rather have a Powerglide repaint than a deluxe Starscream repaint, anyway. Any of you "quickie" digibash guys, IE the instruction scan kings, going to take a stab at it?

I threw this together.

I tried it with the black head too but the bronze one seemed to flow more. If you had something else in mind or a different placement of colors let me know Thy and I'll try and tweak it. icon-hotrod.gif

Wow, that mold's plastic assignments really does make it the king of monochrome, doesn't it? And Skyquake is such a tropical riot of color.

Actually, with all due respect, looking at Universe Stormcloud it seems there was room for a few more colors than you used here.

The forearms don't have to match the shoulders, and there can be two colors on the ankle cuffs.

Suppose, hypothetically, Universe Skyquake's forearms were bronze, and his head/waist/thighs were black. Move that bright blue to the upper of his two allowed ankle-cuff paint apps, and have the lower one be a sorta greenish-yellow like his missiles. Might be worth a look...

Thanks for putting it together at any rate!

I just checked my own Powerglide, actually... this guy is just that monochrome, in terms of plastic layout. Most of those extra bits of color are paint apps. It looks like there might be a little bit of color-swapping when it comes to his upper arms, but that's it. The forearms appear to be paint-dipped, rather than molded in purple (though I can't tell without actually having the toy in front of me).

Added for comparison purposes. Discuss!

In look and feel, the Silverbolt repaint is definitely the better fit by a mile. The Botcon version is a waste of time, I think.
