Full Version: painting a kitbash

i am in the final throws of my 1st kit bash. i have shaved joints, super glued the needed areas, but the paint on the shoulder ball joint are still rubbing off. can anyone help me?

Did you paint the ball joint and super glue both parts, and let them both dry and then see if it still rubs. If it does, you have to shave a bit more

i've never had any luck with painting them myself. The only thing I've ever done that works is a dye job.

If I remember from one of the custom classes I sat in on at botcon. They said that the ball joints are made of some type of plastic nylon, and paint won't adhere to them. That is why hasrbo never paints them from the factory.

Other then that my only advice is good luck
