If Animated ends with Season Three (I hope it doesn't, but there's still a chance that it will), would anyone be interested in helping me make an Animated S4 comic? I'd need writers to help me with the script, artists (upon seeing my stick figures, people wonder if I even have opposable thumbs. I defently can't draw the comic myself), and colorists. If interested, sound off here.

I'd be interested in making this a big project with as many people as possible involved.

Most of us love Animated. If the show ends, we can keep the series alive with a comic.

Well. Making comics of cancelled TV series are also one of IDWs fortes. But before it goes that far I just hope the show returns with a new subtitle after the ROTF blitz slows down in 2010.

Yeah, this comic is just for if animated is cancelled. Hopefully it won't be. Maybe we'll bet some information on sequels at BotCon.

So far, with Skullgrin I've got two writers to help me, and two maybe artists (depends on if SSo02V wants to do it and if my friend can get to a scanner).

I can say with full confidence that I can definitely do it, but with one caveat. I can't do backgrounds for jive, so I'm kinda limited to character art.

Can I make a suggestion for the character artwork, I think it would be a great idea if you hired GAUGE0001 from the 2005boards on this project, Anyone that is farmilar with his artwork should know his style of artwork is compared to that of Derrick Wyatt's and I think Gauge's artwork would be a huge asset to this project.

I like writing storylines for some of the more sadistic characters.
I'm sort of mediocre at drawing though, I'll leave most of that to people with talent.

As there have been a few questions of me continuing BWA, I think it might be best to let it be used in this project. I've always wanted to try writting for a comic anyway.

Actually, regarding this, and BWA, I think we should agree right now on something.
As we actually want animated to continue, I suggest that we leave all the main 10 or so characters on each side out of this, with the exception of blackarachnia. (She was a main decepticon?) In case this actually somehow comes back, I propose we stay out of the main continuity line.

We might try using team chaar and Rodimus's crew, or all the robots on cybertron. I'm sure with animated's aesthetics and fanwanks that it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to use essentialy any character not used before.

For example, we could have a story arc based around unicron suddenly appearing (Transwarping?) and have a minor decepticon be upgraded to animated galvatron, (If I recall, derrik said he would want galvy and megs to be different characters anyway,) this new leader could lead team chaar, cyclonus included, against a crew of up and coming autobots, (Possibly the beast machines team if you can figure a way for blackarachnia to get back to cybertron and her and rattletrap to be upgraded,) and stop them from stopping unicron. After all, in a cybertron filled with autobots, why wouldn't the decepticons want to unleash unicron against them? Mind you, this is just one idea.

I disagree. I think the main cast should be used, as their a vital part of the Animated series.

HOWEVER, I'll compromise. About the only way the series will officially continue is through IDW. So, for the first issues we'll use other characters instead of Optimus's crew. The issues will take as a long time to do, so by the time we get through a few of them months will have passed. That should be plenty of time for IDW to announce that they're doing an Animated continuation. After these months, if there is no word on Animated continuing, we can use the main cast with little worry of contradicting anything.

Or, More backstory on yokitron. Maybe an animated that takes place before animated, with yokitron taking Prowl's place...

If you're still looking for more cooks in the kitchen, I'd love to join the writing side. I can't imagine I'd be much help with the core writing, but I'd love to help with the proofing and editing, which comics like this are generally in serious need of, and I'm qualified.

Kind of like the Transformers version of the Arashikage Clan (Snakes Eyes & Stormshadow) backstory from GIJoe? With all the various martial arts bots learning Processor over Matter?

I guess I'd be interested... though probably more in a writing / idea-bouncing capacity than an artistic one. I've never really been able to capture the animated style in my work, sadly.
