I've been on this site for years now and though it seems silly to say it, I don't know how to add pictures to my posts. So I can't do things like Toy reviews or add comedy images to the 'Transformers Picture thread'. Can somebody explain how to do this please?

If it's from another website, copy the URL of the image file and click the little "Insert Image" button in the toolbar above where you're typing the post. It has a tiny image of a sunset on it (it's between "Insert Link" and "Insert Email Link"). That opens a pop-up, and you just paste the URL into the text box in the pop-up. Or type [img][/img] around the image's URL in your post.

If you're uploading to the Allspark, it needs to be less than 250K. To do that, see the toolbar below where you're typing the post. Click "Browse", find the file, click "Open", and then click the "Upload" button next to the "Browse" button.

Be sure that when you do that, you're ONLY linking to images from webspace that you personally own, such as your account on Facebook, Myspace, Imageshack, Photobucket, or Flickr-- and if you aren't a member of any of those, they're all free services that offer quite a bit of file space to upload your photos to. If you're found to be using someone else's webspace, your image will generally be removed, and you will be held responsible if the owner of said web space decides to change the image to something inappropriate.

Thanks both of you.

However, NIghtViper, I don't understand your comment about the 'Browse' button, I don't see it under where I'm typing. Where do you go to upload pics to the Allspark?

I don't think it's available to non-Moderators in this forum. Try adding a reply to the Transformers Image or Random Image threads in TF or General Discussion. There should be the option there.

Also worth noting is that if using the "fast reply" function, you won't see the "browse" button Nightviper mentionned. You need to use "Add Reply". Then, "Browse" is under the place where you can input your text, to the right.

Hit the Printscreen button, then paste it in paint or your program of choice

Or Cmd - Shift - 3 if you're on a Mac.
