I'm almost 100% sure there was a Front Page news post about Decoys showing up at Walmart in the Gumball Machines. But I cant find it now. Is there any sort of News Archive for the front page going back further? Or anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hmmm, this sounds vaguely familiar. I don't think it was all that long ago, really. In any case, the front page content only goes back to July of 2007, which is when I believe we switched our news reporting software to the Joomla front-end we're using now.

I can't find any mention of the Gumball guys in our archive. You could try web.archive.org's Wayback Machine, but I don't think it'll get you very far since it doesn't seem to have archived all of the live content of the site.

I knew someone had to have some sort of memory. I cant remember if it used the term gumball or Vending machine, or what. And It was like at a Walmart in Minnesota or some such. I think it was like around 04 or 05. But I cant find any mention of it on the internet at all, and I was thinking I had went crazy.

For what it's worth, I remember that they weren't official product at all and were pretty much the same as the old decoys.

I was thinking there was a photo of the header card in the post, and Was hoping to use some friends of mine to try to track them down. To see if there was any neat bootleggy type decoys.

The newest ones are the Tomy ones from the 2007 movie I use thim in my Webcomic Shelfspace

Were they real close to the G1 Decoys or not so much, I wish someone had more info on them. This hopefully wont drive me up a wall too much. Sigh.

yes thay came in white, bronwish red,black and Green colors

they included Jazz,Prime,Megatron,Wheeljack

the card back was that of an Autobot fraction symble

I never saw the decoy machine, but back in the early to mid-90s there was a machine with random crap at the local super market that had little unlicensed keychains of the G1 characters in their box art poses. I managed to get the brown Optimus Prime...but then promptly lost it! That thing was fairly awesome.

Actually, looking at that Optimus' legs, and more importantly the keychain clip with the hand, I think these are the ones that I saw back in the mid-90's. Now I really wish I hadn't lost that Optimus
