Headline is finally back, now that practicum semester is over for her creator.

And this time, she's sharing the spotlight with 16 of her friends and foes. This follows on the heels of... the rest of my fics, which can be found by clicking the handy-dandy link in my signature. And as I say here in the title, it's both long and different. Long because, well, because it's 17 parts.

And different because each chapter will be narrated by a different character, whose name will serve as the chapter title.
And also different because, to try to minimize the confusion that could happen if all 17 differently-narrated chapters got clumped together on this page, I'm posting the stories
first at the LiveJournal linked in my sig and then posting clickables to each chapter here.
Many thanks to Rebelshoe, darkwoelf, Drivaaar, Deathy G1, Falcadore and DragonTail for the use of their characters and for letting me pick their brains. Full credits are included with part 1...
...which is here.
Part 1 - Bandit - co-authored by Rebelshoe, whose character Bandit is.
And while you're at it,
Part 2 - Kup.

I have been waiting for years to see that in print. Thank you.
I've been waiting for years to figure out exactly where the end of this story was going!

I suppose that's what we get for having it be a 17-chapter monstrosity...

part 3 of said monstrosity is up. Welcome Hound to the fun and games.

I have to say here that I've been enjoying the back-and-forth over at LiveJournal, with a couple of Chronicles regulars leading the way in the commenting there!
And now a more... angsty... take on the Special Teams/Gestalt concept, starring the appropriately angsty
Dead End.

I'm glad you're enjoying the gestalt chapters, Rebelshoe, because there are more on the way.
First, though, an appearance from a non-gestalt gestalt, Captain Modesty himself.
Sky Lynx takes the next chapter in egotistical fashion... but we wouldn't expect any less from him, now would we?

Right now, boys.

Sometimes, circumstances can cause a guy to act... well... so out of character it even makes
him uncomfortable. Case in point:
Blitzwing as he takes his turn.

This just gets better and beyter the more I read! I love how you're capturing the personaltiies of all the Cybertronians, good and bad, and making the hard choice to actually kill off some characters...Makes me wonder not only who the next narrator will be, but who may be next to die.

You make me sound as brutal as Simon Furman. Which, with the body count and MIA count so far, may be close to the truth!
Next to the microphone is a mech who's... not quite himself at the moment: to borrow and vandalize the title of an upcoming series that I won't be able to see because it's on Showtime, the United States of

Ya know what a fanfic set in the middle of a war needs? A body count. So, with that vague warning, let's hear from
Sunstreaker this chapter...

Wow I'm really liking this series so far! Newsy, I went through and read your older G1 fanfics a few months ago, and I've really enjoyed reading them. I love your new take on what happens after the '86 movie, it's nice not knowing what to expect next even though it's set in G1. I'll try to comment on the chapters you add individually from now on.
So with that, my comments for this chapter:
I have to say that was VERY unexpected what happened to Sideswipe. It was very interesting seeing how Sunstreaker dealt with all that happened. And I have to say that this chapter has some of your best fighting scenes, I was actually able to imagine the fights going on from reading the writing. I also liked how certain parts of the fights hinted at some of Sunstreaker's ... less than kid-friendly character traits. Anyway, nice job overall.
And one more thing. As somewhat of an aspiring writer myself, this site does an amazing job of providing proper inspiration.

Seriously though, thank you for your comments here, especially on the fight scenes - battle writing is my weak spot, and it's encouraging to hear that I'm improving as I go. And so that I know for later fight-writing what I did right here... umm, what did I do right here?

Nah, just a couple weeks if I read about 3-6 chapters a day.(Which for me is very easy to do, sometimes on accident

)

I think one thing I like most in fight scenes is detail E.G.: Where the laser/missile/bullet actually hits the enemy, what movements characters make, and what condition the fighters are in. I noticed you were able to do a great job at including all that in your latest chapter, so it made it a very enjoyable read.
I'm looking forward to any future installments!

I think one thing I like most in fight scenes are details
My charming boyfriend Falcadore will rub this in my face forEVER as soon as he sees this. He's the military history/weapon knowledge/lots of detail person; I'm just the idea chick.

Thank you for the feedback - can't do anything but help me get better at writing for a wider audience!
And after a couple weeks of school craziness, job interviews, and occasional drop-ins on the fic to re-re-RE-rewrite... 12 chapters in,
Headline finally gets her turn.

Great chapter this time! Headline's little speech in response to Blitzwing was very nice, the emotion really was noticeable in that part. It's good seeing the 'cons in the bar being a bit more friendly, Hook especially(Although I'm not sure if the energon is affecting their personalities or not

) It's also nice seeing Quartz "come back" so to speak.
One last thing- the "painkiller" towards the end was hilarious, especially Headline's reaction to it.
Once again, great chapter.

If you all thought this story was a bit confusing before, what with all the different narrators and whatnot, I'm about to confuse you even more.

The next chapter alone features
three narrators -
Grand Slam, Raindance and Slamdance trying to shout each other down... or should that be trying to shout
himself down?
