There is officially no way that Marty Isenberg is NOT reading the TF Wiki. Menonia? Torkulon? Darhos, from something as obscure as HEADMASTERS, even including a reference to its inhospitable northern hemisphere, for Pete's sake? This is awesome.
EDIT: Oh good GOD, the other two planets are so orgasmically obscure I didn't even realise they were from Transformers. I'm all a-quiver.

Plus there's the anti-gravity cannon, the triple-crusher cannon, the glass gas, the omega bomb, the nemesis shield - all of which are from various corners of TF lore (and have wiki pages)!

Is there a new artist on the 2nd stories? Not a fan of the art of the 2nd stories from the last 2 issues. And can someone give a synopsis of each story? Thanks!

No, it's still TheBoo.
And I guess taste is subjective, as I really like his art style and wish the show was animated the same way.

I heard something about some holiday delaying it in some places?

Thanksgiving (last Thursday of every November) tends to delay certain shipments, hence the fluctuation between some stores come the next week. If you subscribe to IDW directly, you'll get them a few days earlier.

They parodied "The Sneetches". They parodied "The Sneetches". THEY PARODIED "THE SNEETCHES"!!!
That is awesome.

And unlike the original merchant in "The Sneetches", Swindle got his just desserts.

Y'know, looking at the first part of this story, I can't help but really wonder how Optimus went from being a 'bot on the fast track to the Elite Guard to being the head of a space bridge repair crew. Obviously the mess with Elita-One had something to do with it, but there's got to be more to it then that. He had Ultra Magnus complimenting him, for crying out loud - how do you fall from that!
Also, I love the arms race story with Swindle...though I got more of a vibe from "The Butter Battle Book" than "The Sneeches".
Now bring on the next issue!

I guess it is subjective indeed, because I really don't like Boo's art and I feel his overexaggerated style makes it feel more like a parody than anything else. It's hard to take it seriously, which hurts especially when he's assigned serious stories like Bots Of Science from issue 3.

Well said. If it wasn't for the stories I'd drop this book. His style does not fit Animated at all.

I've already dropped it after the second issue. I'll probably wait for the trade.

I think he's a hell of a lot better than Dario Brizuela. He just dosn't get the Animated aesthetic when it comes to humans, and making Optimus' mouth too small. I still prefer Matere to both of them.

I'll take a slightly smaller mouth on Prime in favor of overexaggerated proportions and ridiculously overdone facial expressions on
everyone.
And there's probably a reason Boo only draws stories that don't involve humans in any capacity.

For me, personally, it's kinda hard to take The Boo seriously because I always remember what he was primarily working on a few years ago. I'll just say "Masters Infinita" and leave it at that.

Might just me being paranoid about this, but there is a sixth issue for this series planned for release in comic shops, right? It isn't being packed exclusively with Jetfire and Jetstorm, correct?
