I have recently been cleaning out my loft and have found a complete boxed full size overlord looked on ebay and was shocked to see that the little tiny robots he comes with are going for £50 ramps for £30 the guns alone are going for £20 but i cant see one single full boxed model. This has led me to believe this might be quite a special item so i am hoping u can tell me exactly what i got here is this like the holy grail of transformers or something lol. it is 100% complete and the box is a little rough but still all there and readable all still in its original foam. do you have any idea on value or anything? thank you for your time...

Overlord is fairly rare because he was a late addition to the line and never released in the USA. Since he's one of the biggest Transformers ever made, there naturally are quite a few people interested in him. And since he had so many tiny parts that could be lost, some people are willing to spend quite a bit to try to make theirs complete.

As a rule, -Master partners (those "little tiny robots he comes with," in this case Mega (white) and Giga (black)) are always ridiculously expensive on their own, because they are essential to the larger toy itself: anyone who needs to buy them must already own a toy that is nearly un-usable and/or a lot less fun and/or very ugly without them, and everyone offering them up for sale sure as heck knows that. Mega and Giga, like all God/Powermaster partners, physically unlock small internal mechanisms that make Overlord transform, and also activate other gimmicks inside his body. While it is possible to do all that without the little guys, it's harder, and not as much fun, and you have very obvious sad-looking empty holes on his body.

To make matters worse, Overlord's ramps are also "essential" accessories, since it is simply impossible to form his city mode without them. It isn't like, say, Scorponok, who if you lose a little radar dish it's still a city but without a radar dish. Overlord has a ton of accessories and there is no one mode that uses all of them--there will always be like a half-dozen sitting around on the shelf just begging to get lost.

Now take all that, and compound it by making Overlord an old toy that was never available in the U.S. Result: those essential accessories can go for a lot.

Overlord? pfffht. He's not that rare at all.
Don't go by those ebay auctions.

In all seriousness, a complete overlord can be worth a couple of hundred pounds to the right collector
and I am rather jealous of whoever that turns out to be!

Lol well i am turning into a happy bunny! luckily the missing ramp is only that flat thing not one of the things that connects to his legs in a nyway i know i have it somewhere as well as the instuctions so im gonna go on a mental looking spree for the little buggers! i will put a post on here when i sell it and hopefully it well be a little help towards the new motorbike unfortunately the bike wont transform but none the less it will be badass WOOHOO!

I will put some pics of my other ones i found up here soon i dont think any of them are in anyway interesting but maybe there is another gem up there, seems like i found the right place for some friendly advice so will pop them up later this afternoon!
