knights of Tomorrow was pretty cool. I loved the design/colors used for Grayson Batman and Joker 2. I think I'd have preferred if they were the default designs for the characters in this show.
I also feel kinda cheated that Damian didn't grow up to look like McGinnis Batman, especially with the backgrounds and music telegraphing it practically the whole ep.

I loved how all the deaths Joker described himself impossibly surviving were all from Batman the Animated Series.
They didn't really get Damien's personality right, but I don't really like Damien when he's all bratty, anyway, so I was fine with that.

A Damien raised by Bruce and Selina would be pretty different then one raised by Talia and The League of Assassins.

Who woulda thunk Alfred was a Batman slash fiction writer. Good episode, though. I have to wonder if the writers were told that there was a minimum number of deaths per episode for this season. Can't get through one without at least a couple of people biting it.

I wasn't expecting it to be Alfred narrating at the end because, well, I've never pictured Avatar Roku's voice as really working for Alfred 9though it surprisingly does).
Is this the first time Alfred has ever spoken in the series? I can't recall any other times, though I have missed a bunch of episodes.

I felt almost like this whole episode was a Morrison Tribute. the second half is obvious, with practically Bizarro Damien, but the first half - I don't think any author has integrated The Question with 4th World material outside of Final Crisis.

in CHILL OF THE NIGHT with the episode being a total homage to batman the animated series both in overall storyline content voice actor wise and background setting i got a question
that whole scene towards the end of the episode that plays out as batman finally corners joe chill in the room
in batman mask of the phantasm there isa scene in the batcave as bruce wayne fully resigns himsself to living his life only as the batman as he suits up for thevery firt time and literally becomes the mask so to speak as he dons the cowl/mask for the very first time scares the ever loving crap out of alfred and then walks out of the scene.
that piece of instrumental background music that plays during the entire batcave scene from batman mask of the phantasm
is it just me or does playing that background instrumental music piece from the batcave scenee in bmotp actually enahcne and inporove the whole scene for the better in chill of the night as batman confronts joe chill and gives him the thoroughly brutal beating
you ask me this episode of batman thebrave and the bold + shirley walkers music for the scene =awesome to the extreme
for those who are curious this is the scene i am tlking about from mask of the phantasm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6K1qNsE9v0the music for hte cave scene starts playing after the first 40 seconds into the video

Dec 5 2010, 10:25 PM
Either they don't want him overshadowing the other heroes, or like Aquaman and Batman universe characters in Justice League Unlimited, they're not allowed because of Warner's 'can't use characters already being used in another TV show/movie/media' rule. If that was the case, it may finally be done away with, as the next and last season features a Superman team-up and a Batman/Wonder Woman/Superman 'Trinity' team-up. So there's that to look forward to.

Only just saw Darkseid Descending.
It's great that Aquaman is there but he wasn't a member of the Super Buddies Justice League, was he? Elongated Man was a member and he was already introduced in a previous ep, they could have included him (though he wouldn't be as funny as Aquaman). Yes, Ice was great

Too bad there wasn't a hint of a Guy and Ice romance there.
Ending was awesome, no questions asked.

Poor Darkseid. The DCAU version would have probably died of shame after seeing himself in this episode.
I bet the fans of the comics of the Golden Age are enjoying this series, but apart from a few episodes (like the hilarious first Bat-Mite one) this show is doing nothing for me. It (and Batman) is too serious sometimes to take as a comedy, and too campy to take seriously, thus falling flat between the two categories.

Saw the Mister Mind episode.
I've only collected the 199X Power of Shazam series and the never completely formed their version of the Monster Society of Evil so I didn't recognize most of the ones in the episode.
There's Mister Atom the robot...
That big, non-zombie looking shirtless brute is IBAC, I think...
The viking caveman must be the Vandal Savage analog from the Booster Gold episode...
Dunno who the zombie guy is...
The big bat makes me think of the werewolf phantom Mister Scratch, sort of an evil Tawky Tawny from the 199X series...
Then there's the alligator in the suit... he wasn't named but... OMG, is that SOBEK from DC 52?!? The guy who ate Osiris?!?! Why in the world would they want to animate HIM?!?! Freaky!

I believe the bat dude was Jeepers, who was the last of a race of bat monsters. The caveman is King Kull (not to be confused with Robert Howard's Kull). The crocodile probably wasn't Sobek (although I wouldn't be surprised), but one of three crocodile men (Herkimer, Jorrk, or Sylvester) from the planet Punkus that first appeared in the 40's.

I think it was said by one of the 52 writers that they based Sobek on one of the old crocodile-men from the Captain Marvel comics.
Man, him being revealed as one of the 4 horsemen was a really shocking surprise for me in the series. Though, I still am angry that poor Black Adam never gets any slack in comics... whenever it seems something good is happening to him, it's only a matter of time before everything goes crashing down.

Yeah, these Batmite episodes are pretty much the only good thing about Brave and the Bold. I loved the first one and this one better then the second one. Was the Batboy and Rubyn really an existing Batman spin-off, though?
Otherwise, the whole thing is corney beyond the point where it stops being funny. I mean... after watching the Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters episode, I was just sitting there for a few minutes, thinking about whether I really saw what I saw, or I just had a very unpleasant dream of Plastic Man being an incredibly big idiot, Batman and Freedom Fighters singing a horrible song while liberating Qward of all places, and then seeing Obama make an appearance. Brrr. I mean... we have Robot Chicken for such parodies, thank you very much, DC.

Yes, that was animated Superdickery....

From the start where Jimmy pretends to be dying just to get Supes' secret identity. Though I laughed the most at Lois's scene where she says "I don't know what he could have meant by that" when Superman alluded to her many plots to get him to marry her.

Also, did anyone catch how the scene with Toyman was a reference to Superman: Doomsday where he dropped the guy to his death?
The starting short with King Tut (though not named just called Pharaoh, that had to be him) was just inane, though... I was reminded to the time when with Adam West series and equally silly comics, no-one took Batman seriously. (The pharaoh-mobile was cute, though).
