Since the new season kicks off in a few hours, wanted to give this a try. Basically, as the show gets going there will be alot of discussion and out of respect for others I want to try and keep that in here for now. If this fails, it'll all just fold back into the general Gundam thread but doing this means obviously up to date folks can talk freely and others are kept safe from spoilers.

I'm so hyped up for this I think I might explode. I can't wait to see what happens.

Me and my friend from BZP, Janus, have been totally psyched and so forth about this for so long.

It's funny, I tried an ep of SEED and hated it, tried the first ep of 00 and found it too Yaoi-y, but then many months later got absorbed.

All because of Nadleeh.

Essentially, Arrows are going around doing their thing, very brutally quelling supposed rebellions. They drop massive time bombs into areas of people, etc. The story really starts at the colony Saji is working at. One of his co-workers is a suspected rebel, he runs and the military shoot at him. This happens in the middle of a crowded staff locker room. Saji protests and gets charges thrown at him to. All the suspected terrorists are made to push massive containers in a colony area with gravity beyond that of Earth.

Kataron, the major rebel force, crashes a ship into the colony to save their allies but the Arrows forces destroy it and then release 4 legged spider tank drones into kill everyone. Setsuna is also in the colony and manages to save Saji with a guy and some plastic explosives.

Saji is happy to see him until Setsuna gets into his MS- a battered Gundam Exia. He leaves Saji behind as he goes to fight Arrows, his Gundam putting up a good fight against an Ahead but ultimately losing. Just before the killing blow, Tieria saves him in the new Seravee, forcing arrows to retreat.

They return to the hangar, where both Meisters discuss then and now. Saji enters, furious that Setsuna lied for him so long and still pissed over what happened to Louise and he's sister. They end up taking him with them.

Louise was actually in the battle and somehow has a link to Libbonz, who through her sees the battle. It's also revealed he's working with Wang.

The episode ends as Setsuna meets Lyle Dylandy, to offer him his brother's former position

So Exia's in one-eyed terminator cloaked form? How many swords was it using? Were these Spider Drones cool? I heard they had mono-eyes.

Exia is pretty much using its main gun and sword. The tanks are brutal and are indeed monoeyes. Basically, an Ahead carries a container on its back and then launches it into the colony. Once it lands, the container opens, the things activate and scuttle about killing without distinction. There were scenes where they gun down whole crowds and whilst we don't see it it seems suggested that everyone was killed, even the civillian workers

Oooh, I hope we get Spider tank models...if they're big enough. How big? And were there lots of Aheads? I got the impression that they were special and that the GN-XII was the grunt suit. Oh yeah, and what was the new intro like?

They're about human height and I definetly agree a model would be nice.

We only see one or two Aheads. Very much custom MS for the top aces at the minute, the others are making do with GN-XIIIs.

The OP was kinda odd. Basically, it suddenly appears in the middle of the episode and yet the show carries on for a few minutes afterwards

The OP was obviously towards the end so as not to ruin some things. And there was only a few minutes left after it. I suspect we'll see the "real" ED credits next week.

With how easily Exia was dealt with by the Ahead and GN-XIII, I'm glad we probably won't be seeing twenty second slaughterfests as Gundams carve through cardboard enemies anymore. Although Seravee was certainly impressive, with its multiple cannons (Only used four here, but in the OP he has SIX total, wild!) and its "face-back".

I really liked the opening animation, linking back to the first season and the respective pasts of the Meisters.

Who was at the gravesite in the brief scene directly after Dynames/GN Arms flies by with Tieria crying after it?

Kickarse new opening (or ending, whatever). The actual ep was really good, and the score really stood out for me. Seemed a slight bit more "metal" than last season, and it worked really well, especially during Seravee's entrance. Looking forward to more.

There's always a chance that will be happening near the end of the series. OO has been bucking most cliches, so hopefully they won't fall into that one.

Though to be honest, it never really bothered me.

But come on, I can't believe that the only reason for Seravee to have a big honking Gundam face on its back is so that it can 'see from behind' I thought that explication was weak.

News says the Ahead model kit will come with the spider tank contain plus two of the lil buggers themselves.

From the sound of things, having the ED a few minutes early than normal is going to be consistent. An odd decision but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I was actually kinda underwhelmed with this ep after a really strong premiere.

Lots of things happen really fast and some things I kinda wanted to see happened off-screen.

00 was pretty cool, but Seravee seemed to get overwhelmed really fast in comparison to how Tieria calmly handled his opponents last ep. I dunno, I'll rewatch it again when the decent sub comes up, but I was a tad disappointed.

Not really. Seravee is designed to deal with a ton of opponents at range. They came at him pretty quick and did some cool jiggering around.

I just finished it a little while ago, just a quick comment before going to bed.


Those grenade things that made their beams unusable are going to be bad for Tieria and Seravee.

I get the feeling those grenades are going to be limited soon enough, especially since they seem to be based off of Tau Drives as opposed to genuine GN Drives. Specifically, the HG manual says that once perfected the 00 will basically be peerless and boast near unimaginable GN Power.

I don't think it'll matter much. Especially a Seravee-sizing blast will cook right through.

Anybody else think Haptism won't go back to piloting so quickly? The intro has that bit with three GN lights in the distance and him sitting and reaching out. Maybe he's still crazy for a bit?

If I was Al, I'd want to stretch my legs a bit first. The poor guy seems to have been bound up like that for 4 years.

The thing that worries me is they've already made it clear that Lyle has joined in order to be a mole for Kataron. Given Feldt's role involves the communications and such, I'd hate to think he was trying to seduce her to further his secret mission.

A similar possibility- Feldt happens to walk in on Lyle contacting Kataron and to silence her he kisses her, acting on her muddled feelings for his brother.

Aside from that, another great ep. Nice to see Tieria's become more personable over the years; he seems really pleased to see Al safe and sound.

Wow, Tieria is so nice these days.

Also, got a giggle out of Lyckon calling Tieria Adorable.

Also, Lyckon asking Haro what to say as a catch-phrase.

Good to see Allelujah save and sound and sane enough to fly a Gundam.

Yeah, Arios was badarsity. And Allelujah must be harder than Jack Bauer to run about and do all that after four years of confinement in a dark room. Tieria's a rather personable chap now, even idly planting the thought in Setsuna's head to rescue Marina. Seems NO DEVIATIONS FROM VEDA! Tieria is a thing of the past.

Do you think Tieria will transfer his secret mancrush onto Lockon's brother?
