Wow. Lots of stuff considering THEY HAVENT EVEN CONFIRMED "GREENLIGHT" ON SEASON 3 YET.





Speculation and nothing more.

I'd say Bombshock, with one more asterisk.

I'm convinced B****O** is Blackout. He does kinda look like a big beetle. Good calls on Roddy, Arcee and Cyclonus (never would have guessed that with the Rabbit Ears).

Now, of course, I start wondering what all this has to do with the story.

If I made an educated guess - in fact, I'm fairly convinced - I'd say Roddy, Red Alert, Hot Shot, Beachcomber and Brawn are all part of the same crew which would act as a counter-point to our main crew (Roddy = Optimus, Red = Ratchet, Hot Shot = Bumblebee, Beachcomber = Prowl, Brawn = Bulkie), and they'll do an episode where the two crews try to get along. If we're really lucky, we'll get a spinoff episode or two about just this crew (similar to the way Teen Titans did an episode or two about Titans East).

Spittor (or possibly Slapper) would likely be in that Predacons episode we heard about, along with BA and Wasp. Stryka and Cyclonus they could do anything with, but I'd take a guess at them being Shockwave's lackies on Cybertron. The other ones are up in the air. Don't forget, we also have to deal with Soundwave, the Jet twins, Perceptor, and Swindle (and the Animated team at SDCC pretty much said that Wreck-Gar and the Screamer Clones are returning). Whew. This is going to be a fun season.

A) S250 is always right.  He *is* an Awesome Inside Source.  Do not question him.


B) It's frikken greenlit.  They were recording dialouge before SDCC, we've seen listing for it from YTV...  I think they just want to have it done before they say anything.

Episodes have been written and scripts have been recorded. Unless, I dunno, maybe David Kaye is a liar!

Well, he played Megs for how long...? Inevitable a little bit rubbed off on him...

That other team angle sounds very plausible Fwiffo. And awesome.
In fact, it has to be true, its just striking me how similar Beachcomber and Prowl are...

On the upside, the stocks have more than doubled in value!

Before that we had character designer guys blog with the preview square showing off Jetfire and Jetstorm (along with S2 guys like Swindle and Shockwave) wich are promised to pop up in S3. Guys at Botcon saw those, Arcee and Perceptor.

David Kaye confirming the BW story guys being involved in the season.

S3, while not say confirmed Cartoon Network airdate seems pretty friggin under production to me.

Wich doesn't mean you can't take these with a pinch of salt. I know nothing of this S250 fellow.
The Decepticons in a state of dissaray over half a universe is pretty ripe for shaking up the roster of the last two seasons anyhow.

In any case, even if many of these guys are cameos or background characters to beef up the toy isles this is PACKED.

I was hoping they'd finally confirm whether it's Ratbat or Galvatron who's going to be appearing.

maybe the second team is sent as a replacement for op and crew
i mean, longarm is a prime now, and the autobots know that he's evil now, so he HAS to do something about them. but because they already agreed that they needed to maintain an autobot presence on earth, well then he'll have to send another team. which would explain why it's similar to the current team

i'd like to hear them explain the name rodimus prime though.

It'd be very cool to see the secondary team be the "villains" of Season 3, sent by Longarm, who has pinned Optimus as a traitor. A sub-plot of the decepticons amassing throughout the galaxy could lead up to a season finale featuring both Autobot teams.

Definately interesting piece of news here, I can't wait to hear more about it!

Its very reminiscent of the Rodimus, Prowl and landmine team from Energon being at odds with Prime, Hotshot, Ironhide, Jetfire and Inferno isn't it?

I wonder if they'll make Cyclonus a chick if they go the Shockwave-lackey route. Would be cool if she was a sterotypical playboy bunny-esque character containing hundreds of deadly weapons...and guns too.

Do you reckon Blackout will look a bit like Scourge (he was a bit beetle like with those wings) and be paired with Cyclonus? Or actually be a bettle and fit in with the Beasts?

We can't get rid of Bumblebee. He's one of the leads and Hasbro loves him.

Hasbro didn't love him till the movie and Wyatt's urging for his inclusion in Animated.

If you're talking about Bumblebee, no.

If you're talking about Sari: Come on, lay off her. She's the best human character we've had in one of the toons. Even the comics. And she pulls more weight on the team than any of the other humans have, ever.

As for this news: I WANT THOSE TOYS ALREADY! Especially Red Alert.

Even as a kid, I never understood or enjoyed the irritating self-insertion characters they'd put in these cartoons. Why are giant robots from another world hanging around an unsupervised 8 year old? Why do they let her keep a super-powered key that makes machines do wacky jive?

Even as the "best" human character we've ever had in the cartoons, Sari's still abrasive and painful to watch or listen to. If they had her killed by an errant energy blast or something it might provide the kiddies the most poignant lesson about death since Code of Hero from Beast Wars.

I didn't think the first two seasons could be topped but man if this doesn't sound exciting.

Because we saw what happened when the autobots took the key away. *Megatron Returning* Besides.. When your life source/god gives something to the kid, are -you- going to argue? And the reason she was unsupervised *season 2 only BTW* was because her father was kidnapped. Duh.
