Picked it up with AHM. A decent read. Nothing spectacular ow absolutly awesome though.
Thought the Megatron half was better than the Prime half.

I really dug Geoff Senior's art in the Optimus story, particularly the first page with Prime vs the swarm of Dreadwings.

This is the comic strip from the first few issues from the U.K. movie comics isn't it?

I picked it up and thought it was pretty fun.
Question: I haven't read the IDW Prequel comic which apparantly this comic wiggles around in. Should I bother?

I picked it up on a whim, and I'm glad I did. Geoff Senior's art was a breath of fresh air.

Okay, I haven't read the original Titan prints of these stories yet, so this is my first exposure to them.
Plot and dialogue are decent, though nothing stellar, there's no major "WTF they screwed up everything" like with All Hail Megatron right now.
Art...
...
Man, it's good to see Senior back, but damn, the movie designs don't work with his style. At all.
Also, why is Optimus Prime in his Earth robot mode complete with Peterbilt truck kibble and red and blue flame deco, and yet he transforms into a suddenly mostly grey (but not at all based-on-the-toy) Protoform pod mode?
Second story has better art by Nick Roche. Megatron's robot mode looks slightly odd on page 1, and while all have robot modes with apparently-Cybertronian-alt-mode kibble, it's odd that all of them already have their later Earth mode colors. Oh well. Layouts, dynamic and visual storytelling are decent, as are the faces. Nick > Senior, these days. Sorry, Geoff.
Cover by Nick Roche is nothing short of awesome.

earth mode colours made the bots easier to distinguish, the book was originally aimed at like the 14 and under market

Man, Geoff's in fine form. Just like the good old days...the man really has a craft for conveying motion.
Plotwise, nice to read a largely self-contained little character study like this. It went in, did what it needed to do, and wrapped itself up largely while leaving room to continue into the movie. At the same time, it felt like it could stand on its own as a brief Transformer tale.
I thought the movie Transformers looked great in his style since they're pretty angular (Lots of sharp edges) already, which suits the way he's drawn bots and cons in the past. That Megatron was especially scary; wish we'd seen more of him, though I loved the big drone thing.

ZOMG CONTINUITY ERROR!
Prime should be at Simfur when the Allspark is launched, rather than right there.

Geoff's art is kinda silly, but a nice little nod back to the olden days. For a breif little one-shot comic, it's great. It would blow chunks if they tried to make it longer than that.

if you don't mind spoiling yourself to the later issues, feel free to read the reviews of these comics.
http://www.tfarchive.com/comics/titan/guid...p?s=titan_01_13there's going to be a part with some absolutely terrible artwork in a few months.

So is Devastator the tank-to-be's official name? I keep forgetting which one it's supposed to be.

No thread yet on issue #2? I got it yesterday and really liked it. Ratchet was pretty hardcore. HIGHLIGHT to view:

I think it's fairly obvious that brawl is by far the most G1-accurate movie character other than Prime, in both modes... but only if it's Brawl.
