The Headmaster... um... returns.

Copying in my post from the other thread:
In the words of Optimus Prime:
*points*
HA HA HA!!!
HIGHLIGHT to view:
This was mostly an Optimus/Sentinel "buddy" show, with Sentinel getting his ass handed to him (literally) by the Headmaster. Sentinel continues to be a dick, Optimus continues to be the better man (both in terms of morality and as a problem-solver). Though he did get that dig at how Sentinel "covered for [him] last time" --obviously a reference to what happened to Elita-1. Fanzone seems particularly not-impressed by him (the other Autobots he's used to; at least they respect him). Hell, even the reporter-bot seems to like Optimus better than Sentinel.
Incidentally, the mayor's aid/press secretary is a hottie.
At this point, I kinda think that even Magnus is laughing behind his back. That "urgent business with Autobot High Command" struck me as "I need to leave the room before I start snickering."
We also see that Magnus is apparently gonna be an absentee leader; while his ship is still parked in Detroit, he apparently has better things to do than focus his attention on one single planet. Insert your "can't deal with that now" jokes, but it does kinda make sense if Magnus is a supreme commander; he has to pay attention to the galaxy-sized picture.
Best part (aside from Optimus' laughter): Optimus beating up the Headmaster-possessed Sentinel's body, knowing that Sentinel is feeling every punch.
We also see just how much of a complete asshat Powell is. Not only did he drop that bombshell on Sari last week, here we see him kicking her out (apparently without making any arrangements for her to stay anywhere), taking back Tutorbot and Sparkplug, hiring Masterson (after "clearing up" his criminal record), setting up Sumdac Systems to take military contracts, lying to Optimus, and interfering with the arrest of a known criminal. Now even Fanzone's p*ssed at him.
I really feel sorry for Sari. She's had anger sustaining her this far, but now that she's settled in with the (well-meaning but clueless) Autobots, the tears all catch up to her at once.
Given Powell's "erasing" of Masterson's criminal record, I'm wondering if that's why Sari has no papertrail. It'd be kinda anticlimactic, but it'd fit with Powell's M.O. if he just used some of his obviously considerable funds to erase some records.
Sadly, no sign of Jazz (Magnus may have kept him working off-screen) or Ratchet (who may be busy repairing the Ark), or the Decepticons. Prowl only appeared at the end, but made a telling comment as to why he wasn't in the spotlight (he was staying aside to let Sari deal with her emotions in her own way, rather than trying to be overly helpful like certain other bots).

www.youtube.ca is localized for Canadians, just how www.youtube.com is localized for people in the US. They both share content from the central Youtube database, I believe.
I'm not sure what you're really asking. Youtube's available to pretty much anyone anywhere.

That's actually interesting as I'm in Canada and have never in my life been on Youtube.ca until you pointed it out that there was one and I had a look. Never choose to go on that or Ebay.ca, the .com versions I find better and am not directed or moved to the .ca versions, at all.

As for the episode itself...
HIGHLIGHT to view:
Well, I hated the Headmaster the first time around. Fortunately, this time, he was much more of a minor part, and wasn't half as annoying. Instead of Bulkhead antics, we got two much better character plotlines - the Sentinel Optimus relationship, and Sari trying to deal with the fact that her world is falling apart (and Bulkhead and Bumblebee trying to help her and failing).
There's a couple of really great bits - Optimus has the best laugh ever when he see's Sentinel as just a head for the first time. Oh, and Sentinel's face mask freaking rocks. Sari's reaction to her situation I think is really well handled. Oh, and Headmaster decks out Sparkplug and Tutorbot for a totally awesome little scene that makes me want toys so freaken bad. Powell shines as well, becoming virtually the TF worlds Lex Luthor. Rich, slimey and vile. I love PGM much.
But all that said, it wasn't a spectacular episode. It might have been poor quality on my copy, but the animation was pretty off and sloppy quite a bit of the episode. It's somewhere on the lower end of Animated overall, but no where near the terribleness of the first Headmaster.

I actually liked this episode a fair amount. The Optimus/Sentinel relationship is great. Could really see the change when Sentinel got beheaded - on both their parts. Sentinel instantly tried to get nicer, Optimus immediately asserted more control.
"Maybe she's a robot!"

I do agree, the animation was off. Not so much the movement itself, but the character designs seemed wrong. Bumblebee's face, and Prowl for example. Sentinel looked weird in several scenes near the end too. Not sure how to really explain it...just as simple as stuff as the angles being off. I dunno. BB's chin was almost Starscreamesque in some parts. It just looks weird because we've seen him before and it doesn't look like that.

Oh man, I was calling Powell a sorry slag sucker and just generally being angry at him at the beginning. Ooooh, I bet he did erase Sari's records. Even though they can't arrest him now, I bet the police are gonna start collecting evidence and looking into things.
What else? Oh, I laughed at the press conference at the beginning. And when Sentinal got the crap scarred out of him by a cat. I'll second the cool mask bit.
I liked the interaction between Prime and Sentinal when his head got caught off. Someone mentioned how the role of who was in charge noticeably changed. Seemed like Sentinal was worried that OP would act the way he would in that situation. And OP must have thoroughly enjoyed the fight with HM.
Overall, a solid episode. Not one of the best or even as good as last weeks, but still a good one.
Edit: I was just thinking about how Powell might next try to get Meltdown on his team but that wouldn't work because of his criminal record. I could practically hear Sari objecting, "He kidnapped me! He's a criminal!" and Powell responding, "He couldn't have kidnapped you if you didn't exist." Arrrgh! He might do it! There has got to be some kind of laws about the rights of people with no paper trail, like those who get smuggled in illegally. Especially for kids.

Never expected that short bit shown of Optimus laughing and Sentinel protesting in the commercial was for real.

Bulkhead and Bumblebee might not be the perfect big brother materials but you have to give them credit for trying their darnest.

You'd think he'd have reported her to the police as a trespasser on Sumdac systems property, really. The question is what they'd do then with a kid who has no identification. I can't see Fanzone placing her in the care of space-robots, and she's clearly not old enough to make that decision for herself.

Meltdown's got plenty stacked against him. Breaking and entering, battery, destruction of property and attempted murder from his first appearance and all those plus resisting arrest, kidnapping (even if Sari doesn't 'exist' in the system, she's still human and you can't just kidnap people. And then there's Captain Fanzone) and assaulting a police officer. And that assumes that his human mutagenic projects were all legally performed. I somehow think that the 'pretenders' would be outside the scope of legal experementation. Clearing all that up would take some serious doing.
Of course, Powell might have enough pull to get people transferred to bizarre/dangerous work programs and the like.

My searing contempt for the Headmaster only increased with the viewing of this episode. I want to see someone tear his jaw right off and then use it to scalp Powell.
I really felt badly for Sari this episode. Poor little thing. Bumblebee and Bulkhead's attempts at cheering her up were touching, but at the same time, it's really quite frustrating how dumb those two can be.
Optimus Prime vs Sentinel Prime's body was a good match. Loved it when he tore the arm right out. I sure hope the SP toy comes with that blue saber.
And yes, the animation was horrendous this week.

Pretty solid episode.
Plenty of good interaction between the Primes, that was really funny. I enjoyed seeing SP humbled a bit, as did Optimus, obviously. Masterson was indeed less irritating, mostly because he was toned down a small bit and during the fights they didn't focus on him as much, but on the banter between the Primes instead.
The BB and Bulkhead subarc with Sari was neat. It was good to see a character going through hard times really upset about it. Not to mention those two are pretty funny. The glasses and tiny scholar's cap really made me chuckle.
I hope Sentinel doesn't go back to being a total jerk next episode. I mean, obviously he's going to be a jerk, that's his thing, but not quite as condescending to Optimus at least.
Edit: Unspoiler tagged, cuz Kal oked it. And yeah, that was getting real annoying to read.

I got a laugh when Fanzone said that he hates robots... especially arrogant know it all robots.
Prime getting his digs in on Sentinel throughout the episode was hilarious. Especially when he gets to kick Sentinel's head into Masterson soccer style.
Prime is just so snide and sarcastic in general. His interactions with Sentinel Prime are fantastic.

On the notion of Powell recruiting some of the Autobots' more effective human enemies beyond Headmaster...possible. The guy is Lex Luthor with a mullet after all...how much more evil can you get?
As for his claim of 'international waters'...I have no idea how this works with the Great Lakes. Bigger bodies of waters start being international about ten miles in. And looking at a map on Wikipedia, about the only way that claim would work would be if the ship was right at the Canada-US border on Lake St. Claire...which is possible.
And I like to think the RCMP would be more than happy to let Fanzone take Masterson in...any explosion that destroys Michigan would have fallout in Canada.

I. Love. This. Prime. He's so great. On the other hand, poor, poor Sari. And, again, Prowl shows that he'd make a pretty good leader.
I thought I noticed an odd transition from day to night before Headmaster attacked Sentinel, but maybe I was wrong or the search took that long.

I'm slow. I only noticed for the first time the Sumdac tower is shaped like a giant sparkplug.
Anyway, I enjoyed this ep. There were some chuckles to be had.
I figured the ship had headed out on Lake Erie which is close enough to be called the Greater Detroit area. It's plenty wide, but don't know if it ever actually becomes "international" vs shared at some random point. Edited to add: According to this site here:
The International Boundary Commission, it seems it just goes from one country to the other. So, it'd be a simple matter of seeing where the ship had been stopped - on one side of the other of the boundary buoys.... egads I'm a nerd.
I think too Bulkhead's suggestion that, "Maybe she's a robot" among all the other crazy assumptions may be to cross that off the list.

He may be slow-witted and miss the big picture sometimes, but he's FAR from stupid. Plus, think back to Sound and Fury. Everyone thought Bulkhead was crazy then, and he turned out to be right.
