Some rubsigns from figures I have are starting to show problems, some wonīt change color at all, others have white edges and the ones from Bw (specially the preds) will only change color when exposed to cold with the predacon figures this happened right after the figure was already out of the package and I donīt know if it was supposed to work that way.

I'd really appreciate some help in this matter since the G-1 rubsigns I knew didn't seem to have this problem.

thanks

yours sincerely , Slashwing.

I'm not 100% certain these are exactly perfect replicas, but you can buy new/replacement rubsigns from Reprolabels. Pretty cool (I need to buy some for toys of ours, now that you mention it...

Check it.

If you buy'm from here, LMK if how they work out for you. I'd be curious to hear how it turns out.

thanks Perceptor , I've checked about the reprolabelsī rubsigns and faction symbols they seem pretty accurate specially the G-1 ones. but unfortunately Iīll have to skip them for now since I have to save money for a Marine Biology Convention (Iīts being held in Bogotá and I live in Barranquilla so every buck counts).

anyway, Iīve also read a little about the rubsigns in the transformers wiki and thereīs an interesting paper about liquid crystal thermography (apparently it looks like itīs written by you but it is nīt) that has been a little helpful in understanding what happens beneath that little layer of plastic.

thank you again for the info and keep those character pages coming !

AH! and I forgot to tell you that this week the Carnaval of Barranquilla ended. Itīs one of the biggest events in our city and people is just waiting for next one to begin! if you guys ever think of going to Colombia this is one to recommend icon-ball.gif
