I was watching the DVD on Saturday in my apartment with a few friends, and we thought we heard a knock at the door. I got up and looked through the peep hole and no one was there. I sat down and continued to watch the movie. About two minutes later we heard a banging at the door. So we paused the movie and all went to the door opened it up and it was the township Police Department. They said "Sir, is everything alright?" To which i replied "Yes? Why?" The Officer said "We've received numerous calls reporting an explosion from this residence"<--- (I swear thats what he said!!) I said "your kidding, right?!" ....... "No sir this is not a joke" ........ "Well, were just here watching a movie"........... "Ok sir, im sorry but im going to have to write you a ticket for violating the local noise ordinance." (It was after 10:00 pm and we had the surround sound full blast, so i admit i was being an jerk having it that loud that late)..... I said "WHAT! im getting a ticket for watching a movie!?!"...... The officer replied "Yes being that we had multiple calls about this and you were violating noise ordinances we have to give you this ticket" I turned to my friend and said "Great googley moogley more money ive got to spend on Transformers!"....... And this is when it gets awesome! The officer said "Oh you guys are watching Transformers, huh?"..... My reply, "Yeah, why?" Then the Officer pulled up his shirt sleeve to reveal a tattoo of Barricades police shield (you know the one with the decepticon logo in it) I said "oh man thats sweet!" Then he said "I tell you what, just turn it down and we'll forget about the fine." I said "Of course! Thank you!" and then he left. So, theres my story lets hear all of yours. Ive got one more quick one: A few years back i was driving at like 2am (i drive an 02 neon with a decepticon logo on the hood) there was litteraly no one on the road. i was stoped at a light looked in the rear view and saw a set of headlights coming in the other lane. as it got closer i noticed it was another silver neon and they had an autobot logo on their hood. i honked my horn to try to get the drivers attention but i guess they thought i was just some sort of nut and ignored me. they sped off never to be seen. about two weeks later i went to the local toys r us and saw the same car in the parking lot. i went into the store did my shopping came out to the parking lot and the other car was gone but there was a note on my car saying "Sweet car" with a phone number. And to make a long story longer he and i have been good friends since.

That story is absolutely awesome HumanError! Thanks for the good laugh! icon-hotrod.gif

It's interesting to me that no one is commenting on the forum boards icon-depth.gif , only in the news comments area... hm.

Anyway, my recent story, although not quite as brilliant as HumanError's involves the first time I saw TF movie (outside of Botcon early showing) in a theater. As I was walking out, a group of high school aged kids were also leaving the theater. One said to the other, "So, what did you think?" The friend replied, "It was good. I mean, yeah it was no Beast Wars, but I liked it!"

W/ all the online fan-mania over G1, I think we forget that there is a generation of fans who grew up on Beast Wars and see that as their childhood nostalgia of choice! icon-hotrod.gif That moment just struck me funny. icon-ironhide.gif

A while back, I was talking to my wife and mentioned something about Transformers. This caused her to roll her eyes at me. Without missing a beat I said,"Transformers are cool, .......unfortunatly 30 year old men who collect them aren't."

My weird funny story:

Some time ago, my best friend was hanging out with me and my IRC roleplaying group, and we somehow got on the discussion of cars, Scion xBs in particular. My best friend starting kind of saying how he really didn't like Scions, that they looked like "jiveboxes" among other criticisms. My RP friend and I then pointed out that there was a Transformer who happened to have a Scion xB as an altmode (Alternator Skids, of course), which prompted all sorts of other joking around and commentary (like pointing out that Skids has an appropriate name for a "jivebox" icon-waspy.gif ).

Then at some point later, my RP friend is like, "Hey, I actually found an Alternator Skids that was leftover on the shelf in one of the toy shops here; you want me to buy it so you can give it to your best pal?" I'm like, "Dude, sure!" So I send him the money, he buys the Skids toy and sends it to me, and I giftwrap it to give to my best friend.

Now, at the time, my best friend and I actually worked for the same small office. So I bring the gift to the office and give it to him, and he's giving me this funny look like, "What is this?" the whole time (since IIRC it wasn't anywhere near his birthday or Christmas or anything). Our boss is also watching all of this with a sort of puzzled look.

Eventually once we've both freed up our schedules enough, he opens one corner of the gift, looks at what it is... and starts laughing out loud. I mean, complete uncontrolled laughter, for literally five minutes straight. To the point where even I'm starting to giggle at watching him. Our boss, of course, is just staring at us with a complete bewildered "What the hell, you two?" We finally both calm down and try explaining to her, and she's just like, "Yeah, OK, you two are freakin' nuts, go be weird somewhere else."

Last I heard, Skids is busy sitting on top of his TV along with his small collection of other action figures. So worth the $30, I tell you.
