Oh, for everyone interested, I have a cheap trick for hacking terminals. You still need the base skill to hack it, but it gives you UNLIMITED attempts.
Simply abort your hack attempt on the last try instead of guessing the password. The inherent problem is that the password changes every time you re-hack the system, the upshot is that it's not totally random, but will cycle through five or six different sets of passwords.
HOWEVER! I am playing on easy, so I don't know if this will work on different difficulty levels. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but you never know.
That works on all difficulties, if you exit before the computer locks you can just try again with 3 new chances, its how I can hack things with my meager science skill.

Alternatively, if you look at your map and Fast Travel to Rivet City, it will place you right in front of the entrance. Look imeediately to your left for the intercom and they'll let you into the city.

I found a second bobblehead. It is in Paradise falls inside Eulogy Jones house. I discovered that as I lay waste to the entire town. At one point, I just whipped out the 10MM submachine gun and started bursting anyone close as I walked through the town Terminator style. Yeah, there is a quest for the killing all the slavers, somewhere, as when I got done, it gave me 900 XP and an achievement for it. I was just going to explore paradise falls, but the two guys at the front started shooting at me. I also wiped out the guys at the Lincoln memorial. They weren't too hard, as I was able to use the combat shotgun to just totally annihilate them. None of them had anything tougher than a combat shotgun, so they weren't that hard. Now I just have to find some runaway slaves for that quest. I also finally found another group of super mutants with a captive right outside Rivet City. That was a fun little discovery.
Speaking of discoveries, I have found the Outcasts at their fort near the robot factory. I haven't gone in there yet though. I wonder if any of them can teach me to wear power armor? Tonight, I plan on exploring that area some more and see if I can find some new places to get some side quests.

It's in the lounge area. If you come through the double set of doors and are looking straight ahead at the bar, in the back to the left will be a staircase. Just behind that, there is a door way into a small room - kinda blueish if I recall. Well, last night I finished the Blade Runner Quest, and he gave me the plasma riffle. That doesn't seemed to do that much damage on machines like the other energy weapons do. Is plasma for living creatures instead? After that, I found the runaway slave girl and she told me where the Temple of the Union was. I got the slaves transferred from their refuge at Temple of the Union to the Lincoln memorial. Then I went exploring in the Northwest, as I had been shown on the map where a couple areas were. I freed a few more captives, activated two radio signals, explored 4 of the 5 Satellite towers, and found a deathclaw refuge. I am a little disappointed in how they made them look in this game. I was remembering/expecting to be bigger and beefier, but in this game they are tall, thin, agile, and fast. The first time I found one, it managed to cut my head off fairly quickly. However, the second time that I faced one, it quickly meet it's end thanks to my Combat shotgun. That gun has become my go to gun for that area as the Giant Radscorpions are like tanks!

Deathclaws are terrifying in Fallout 3.
In Fallout and Fallout 2, their main threat was the fact they were so damn tough.
In Fallout 3, they're not only tough - but the bastards are FAAAAST. Out in the open, they're easy enough to deal with (Shoot their legs, run around), but in confined areas? *shudder*

I just got a quest last night to find 30 bottles of Nukacola Quantum, but I can't seem to find any place that actually has that much of it. The plant said to look in Paradise falls, super duper mart, and some other place that I have never heard of. Any ideas on where I can find 28 more bottles of the stuff? Do merchants randomly get it when they restock?
I tried to do the Tenpenny tower quest, but the only ways I could do it were to either let the ferals in or just kill off the Ghouls. The ghouls gave me a Ghoul mask, but it wasn't as good as my Metal helmet and I lost Karma for doing it that way. If I wiped them out, I just got a few hundred caps. Was there a way to do that quest and get a better item if Tenpenny were still alive? Speaking of which, Crowley came back to the Underworld with a new set of armor. I wonder if I go back to an earlier save and follow him into the fort to get the armor first?

Nov 19 2008, 11:43 AM
Quantum nuka cola isn't stocked in any store that I found. It is plentiful in the world at large though. When I was told about the quest, I started keeping bottles of the stuff. Keep in mind I sold like 5 of them before I heard about it. I STILL got 34 of them, and I have yet to hit the nuka cola plant, where you get a minimum of three of them.

Actually, you CAN spur the nuka cola plant into production once more, and make it spit out some more quantum. There is a caveat however; and I will let you discover it yourself.

Nov 19 2008, 05:59 PM
There's enough Nuka-Cola Quantum in the world to complete both the quest itself and the optional quest of giving the Quantum to the guy.
But it's basically all merely ones and twos. The three locations you can get from the Nuka-Cola plant all have six to twelve (Though I haven't scouted Paradise Falls yet).
It takes a long time to accumulate the Quantum. It's one of those quests you pick up and work gradually toward. I think I was like Level 5 when I got it and Level 16 or 17 when I finally turned it in.

Well, you see, I just got this quest at level 20, so I have sold off a lot of the quantum that I have found over the course of the game. So with that blunder, killing of Tenpenny and the ghouls, and the loss of the best armor in the game, I decided to reload to an earlier save. I was fortunate enough to save it right before I gave the keys to Crowley. So I went back to that save file and I lost about 4 hours of gameplay, but I managed to make most of it up last night. I went into the Fort via the door in the CO's basement and using the keys I was able to get to the power armor in the fort as well as all the other loot in there. I still have to clean out the bomb storage area of robots and loot, as well as do the ghoul situation at Tenpenny tower, but now I have restarted the quantum cola challenge quest and I have around 7 bottles now since I haven't made any grenades at this point.
How exactly do you restart the factory? Last time I went all the way through there without seeing anyway to do that. Do I have to deal with the Foreman? I'd much rather do that than hunt down bottles at various locations.
Also, for some reason, the guy in megaton that bought my scrap off of me has disappeared. Any idea on where the guy has gone? Even the ghoul that wanted scarp metal is gone at underworld. I guess the outcasts might want to buy it from me. Man, those guys are weak. I saw two of them get wiped out by two giant Scorpions. Fortunately, I was able to wipe the floor with the scorps and help myself to some more power armor and energy weapons.
I went to evergreen mills last night killed off everyone there except smiling Jack, then went outside and shot the behemoth to death with an assault riffle. Someone said that the Smiling Jack had a unique combat Shotgun, is that true? Should I go back and take it from him?
