Ahem: I recently re-acquired a copy of new vegas. I lent my 360 copy to a friend whom I don't see very often. I'll admit this was a mistake as I did the loan well before the expansions came out.

On that note, hug the following things: Father Elijah, Dean Domino, dog/god, the cloud, the ghost people and the sierra madre hotel and casino. That is all.

It's only bad if you don't take the time to take and sell EVERYTHING and get as much Pre-War Money as possible. XD Oh, and shoot off limbs. A lot.

Meh, between the chips and the booze, I was able to barter or buy everything I needed.

I thought Dog/God was a pretty cool character, myself. Well. All the characters are awesome in that they're well-done, but I rather liked Dog/God for some reason.

As a whole, though, that expansion was totally worth it to get the active vending machine back in the Mojave. Even moreso if you break the Madre's bank and get the free chip vouchers coming in. More stimpacks and weapon repair kits than I could ever dream of using! icon-silverbolt.gif

Dead Money is still my favorite of the DLCs. Haunting, fits in well with the universe, and a collection of great characters.

Oh, don't get me wrong: I loved the whole thing. It was an incredible play experience. I'm glad I got it and it was worth the wait. I mostly had dog on that list because I tried so hard to save him and just couldn't... and the hugger killed me more than the bomb collar did. Not by much, mind, but more. It's kinda sad for christine... all that time hunting down elijah, all that work and pain and suffering... just to become the care taker for a poisoned and rotting casino. To become little more than background noise and light. Shame she didn't just opt to go back to her chapter and report in.

You have to convince them through dialogue to merge their personalities to form a new entity. There's no way to save either one of the fractured psyches.

I don't know, at least she found a purpose in life outside of revenge. Plus if you manage to trap Elijah in the Vault without killing him, she becomes a unofficial warden of his prison to boot.

I didn't have the speech power to get it done, and I also tried to sneak away from him to trap him with a stealthboy... but got caught so I had to pop a cap in his ass.
Esser-Z
In my fanon I later reunite Christine and Veronica.

You go back the way you came, not out the same area he's walking in from. If you head out as soon as you're done talking to him and sneak out the other door, it'll seal him in.
Rust
It's still hard as hell to do. Took me a half a dozen tries to get it done right, but that's with a Non-Stealth character.

Walk out of the vault to the left, not the right. Elijah comes in from the right.

And as was to be expected my patience will finally pay off in February.

wonko the sane?
And lo did a chorus of angels sing...

Need to get that at some point, despite having bought all that as DLC.
Ironbite
Hope I have enough money in Feb to buy this beast.

Ironbite-seeing as how we really can't afford DLC.
WaveRyder
Yeah, I bought most of the DLC. I'm actually gonna finish buying all of it. And I'll still pick this up. icon-fire.gif
Wingus
...so, hey, NV is five bucks today on Steam.

Can you use mods if you get it from Steam? 'Cause that's so cheap that it's really friggin' tempting to go for it, even though I've got the 360 version already.
Waspinator
Looks like a yes:

Ironbite
Oh hug I wish I had freaking money and a computer to run it.

Ironbite-damn it.
Wingus
I'd need a RAM upgrade to run it, but it's tempting to nab it anyway.
Ironbite
Someone got me Fallout New Vegas off the steam sale.

Ironbite-I AM SO EXCITED TO GET MY COMPUTER!
TheBruteSlayer
Thought I would post this:

Going to sell my copy to exchange it for this.
Those who bought the DLC gonna hate.
wonko the sane?
Well, it was a given they would make it eventually. It's also a given that I will be purchasing it. However, since I already own all the DLC, and I just recently bought a new copy of vanilla to replace the edition I gave to my friend.

So... give it a year after production. Pick it up in the 19.99 bin.

Not really. Got it all a year earlier, plus as a PC, I'm still getting free content updates from the Mod community.

Speaking of...

Here's one that's unofficial, but from J.E. Sawyer himself - something that looks to play more like a true Hardcore Mode. Definitely thinking about springing for a PC version of the Ultimate Edition early to be able to take this for a spin.
