A long ass bumping time ago in a town called Kickapoo
There lived a humble family, religious through and through.
But yea there was a black sheep, and he knew just what to do.
His name was young JB and he refused to step in line.
A vision he did see of bumping rocking all the time.
He wrote a tasty jam, and oh, the planets did align.
Oh the dragon's balls were blazing as I stepped into his cave.
and I sliced his bumping cockels with a long and shiny blade!
Twas I who bumped a dragon, bump-a-lie, sing bump-a-loo!
and if you try to bump with me, then I shall bump you too!
Gotta get it on and the party's on!
Gotta shoot a Load, and the party's on!
Gotta lick a toad and the party's on!
Gotta bump a choad and the party's on!
You disobeyed my orders, son, why were you ever born?
Your brother's ten times better than you, Jesus Loves him More!
This music that you play for us, comes from the depths of hell,
Rock and Roll's the devil's work, he wants you to rebel!
You've become a mindless puppet, Beelzebub will pull the strings!
Your heart will lose direction, and chaos it will bring!
You better shut your mouth, you better watch your tone!
You're grounded for a week with no telephone!
Don't let me hear you cry, don't let me hear you moan!
You better praise the lord, when you're in my home!
Dio can you hear me, I am lost and so alone.
I'm asking for your guidance, won't you come down from your throne?
I need a tight compadre, who will teach me how to rock,
My father says you're evil, but man he can chuck a rock!
Rock is not the devil's work, it's magical and rad!
I'll never rock as long as I am stuck here with my dad!
I hear you brave young Jables, You are hungry for the rock!
but to learn the ancient methods, secret doors you must unlock!
To Escape your father's clutches, and this oppressive neighborhood,
On a journey you must go to find the land of Hollywood!
In the City of Fallen Angels, where the ocean meets the sand,
You will form a strong alliance, and the world's most awesome band!
To find your fame and fortune, through the valley you must walk.
You will face your inner demons, now go, my son, and Rock!
so he went from bumping Kickapoo, with hunger in his heart,
and Journeyed far and wide, to find the secrets of his art,
but in the end he knew that he would find his counterpart!
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump!

Bump (Internet)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Look up BUMP, bump in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. To bump a thread on an Internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads.
Contents [hide]
1 Motivation
2 Netiquette
3 Sticky threads

[edit] Motivation
Many Internet forums show as their first page a list of the 20-50 topics or "discussion threads" most recently posted to. Someone wishing to keep a thread on this first page, or bring an old thread back to it will post a reply to it purely to do this. If they are open about this, the post may simply be the word "bump".
[edit] Netiquette
Thread bumping is commonly considered a breach of netiquette and some moderated forums forbid it. Users may get around that by posting what is ostensibly a genuine reply. Sometimes this will mockingly contain the word "bump" in it, such as "Wandering the forum, he bumps into this thread...", or be a trivial question or response such as "Anyone?".
[edit] Sticky threads
Many forums now have features allowing administrators to make a thread "sticky", meaning that the thread will remain at the top regardless[1].
In a similar way a few forums create an area specifically for bumping (which usually does not count for a user's postcount). The thread is usually used as a way for forum goers to post on nothing in particular, or just pass time talking to themselves, and allows the moderators to lessen the clutter of pointless threads.
[edit] Trivia
BUMP is sometimes used as a backronym for "Bring Up My Post/Post count" or as a recursive acronym "Bump Up My Post".
Bumping old or inactive ("dead") threads is occasionally called "necroposting", and the bumping posts referred to as "frankenposts".
