I will admit that there aren't too many times solo that I feel the need to pull. But when you've got to fight a Vindicator, who has 3 Wardens next to it...who are empathy/psi, rad/rad, and illusion/FF, along with 15 or so minions and LT's....and 10 feet is another spawn full of 3 bosses and 15 LT's and minnions...yeah, pulling is a good idea.
And yeah, I'm never gonna try and set up some cool shot for the big ding, cause well...this tends to happen..

Well, I don't know if it is just me, but it seems like AV's and heroes are much easier to hold now. I mean on the teams I have been part of lately, heroes and archvillains are constantly held...even in RV.
Oh, and before I forget..what DP talked about a few days back about the team leader quiting, then bringing in even more people to the same mission. I don't think it is a bug, but rather an exploit. Similar thing happened to me yesterday morning. I was out in the Fab, when I was begged to join a team to take down a hero. Turns out it was the Vindicator mission, and upon entering there were two teams of 6/7 villains. I thought it was stupid, as if one team couldn't take down a hero then something was wrong. But there were so many people and pets in melee that I had to resort to doing ranged attacks and very little AStriking.

Well, the Omega Guardians is still around. I think you and I play at different times, though, since I never seem to see you on. I'm usually on from about 7pm - 11pm weekdays.
We do need to recruit some new players into the Omega Guardians. Right now I think there are 3 or 4 of us in it that are still active. My scrappers are working on earning enough prestige to pay the base rent, but that's all I can do at this time. Soon I won't be able to keep up with the rent.
I do know a few other SGs that are pretty good, too, if you want. The Superdupers, Dood's Doods, and League of Extraordinary Bickerers are the 3 I'm most familiar with.

How many AVs mentionned in CoH that we finally see in CoV?
Duray (Sky Raiders) is in a SF
Uplink OOT mentionned that The Center (Council) is seen at the end of a story arc in a cutscene
And now Tub Ci.
Who are we still missing? Sebastian Frost (Family), Odyseus (Warriors), Baron Z-somwething (CoT)... Anyone else?
1DB
Jul 12 2006, 11:38 AM
You can take Frost off your list. I don't think we'll ever see the Baron as we would know him, his soul was ripped out and trapped in a crystal...some CoT hugger is probably running around in his body, if it hasn't been destroyed.
I have some screenshots coming soon, one is classic Freakshow.

Yeah I know about the Baron, but we could see whoever/whatever is posessing the body claiming to be him.
Why can I take Frost off the list? Was he seen, or taken out of the picture?
Oh, and I forgot Reichsmann. There are still rumors floating about that he might show up eventually (J.V.S. is keeping his fingers crossed, and has his robots do the same ;-) )
GAH!!! And I also forgot about Grendel.

The disappointing thing about Frost is that they used a generic NPC citizen model for him. I did the mission twice and he had a different model each time.

And I have to say the last two missions of Viridian's arc were pretty sweet, well the last one was neat until I got to the last room and it had two +1 ballistas in it. I kinda wussed out on the mission before it because there was simply no way for me to deal with a string of +1 EB's without leaving the mission to get some inspirations or wait for overload to recharge or whatever.

Hello, if you see me in the game, please come say hello. I'm on the European Defiant Server.
Not sure how many of us you will see sadly, due to the European servers being seperate from the US servers. There are a few on the servers and maybe you'll run into them though.
I feel like a broken record at times about this, but I everytime I think about it I get even more frustrated. What am I talking about? Recluse's Strike Force.
I mean it's bad enough at how exclusive it is to certain AT's and powersets and how things like stalkers, masterminds and dominators get hugged out of participating as compared to corruptors and brutes. But then when people start talking strategy and the core of it revolves around temp powers from Warburg and Bloody Bay...you know that something is hugged up. I know it's not really fair to compare it to other task forces and strike forces or even to Hamidon, but the LRSF is the CoV equivalent of Hamidon, and yes it should be hard and require thought, but it should not be as utterly hugged up as it is. People should not have to consider going to Bloody Bay and getting the Shivan Summon or going to Warburg and getting nukes. I am sure there is a more manageable way to do the SF that doesn't rely on temp powers or teams of 6 /cold, /kin or /rad corruptors and a brute and whatever wildcard slot...but people are getting set into this type of approach and it's hugging over a ton of players. The devs really need to do something about this.
I am working on leveling up my corruptor to particpate in this SF, but then I realized something. No real PUG's are doing this, the only people doing this regularly or even attempting it are SG's and their friends. The VSG I am in is the villainous counterpart of my heroes' SG, and while the SG is great, our VSG is lacking, only maybe 4 of us play villains regularly. I don't really team with a lot of other villains and they don't know me...so even if I were to get my corruptor to 50 for this thing, I don't know if I should really even think I will be able to do it.
Least with Hami, anyone can come regardless of who you know or who you are or what you play. I really wish the LRSF was similar in that regard.

Villains seem to be quite prevalent on the European servers, judging by the domination of Sirens Call and the fact that you can't go there without being followed by some annoying Stalker (I'm sorry, but I hate them) or a Mastermind that looks like and is named like their minions (although clever, it is also very annyoing). I have CoV, but I don't really like playing as one.

Depends. I actually don't recall ever going into Sirens Call on Union (the other English language European server) and seeing the Villains winning.
