"Warrior Princess Mode" is just what he calls one of the costume slots.

---Dave

Yeah... there are 3 seperate 'save' slots with the same costume, their just set to a char with different height/weight dimensions/proportions.

This one's like... 8 feet tall. The backache queen is 5 foot something, with H cups.

Think I got a name...

Nikitis.... it's greek for 'conqueror'.
Rust
Test driving another concept character, a Psychic/Mind Blaster this time:

al aq'l Harees (Mind Caretaker). Whether the character survives or not, I do dig the look I came up for him.

Blaster (and other ranged AT) changes in I24.

Rust
So I spent some money, got my old characters unlocked as well as unlocked Praetoria and the Alignment system - and the Retro Sci-Fi Stuff.

It's nice to have Thoughtforce and Demon Digger back, and I even updated Thoughtforce with the "Retro" Stuff:

Honestly, I kinda like the backpack more then the Rocket Boots.

EDIT: To compare, here's how he used to look like:

Autobot Bubbs
Well I did finally build up my Drow Amazonian.... she's close to 11 now.

Unfortunately, after a night of playing I'm wonderinf if I didn't go a tad overboard with her body...

I dunno if I'm being nit-picky or what. I don't really want to start over (body-change respec in there mebbe?) being she's cleared badges for Atlas and Kings row already... but I wouldn't want to be stuck with her running around and looking like a barbie doll either.
Rust
If you have the Influence or the Costume Respecs, just go to any trainer and select "Change Your Appearance". You'll enter the costume screen and a selection along the bottom will allow you to tweet the body, it's labeled "Scales". I don't think you can adjust height, but everything else is able to be manipulated.

So I've learned something about Thoughtforce last night - he sucks fighting Elite Bosses/Archvillains. Even with Domination active, nothing "sticks" and he's far too squishy to stand up in a straight fight without a form of lock down. Is this a downside to all Dominators, or just Mind Doms?
Dvandom
You can have different costumes at different sizes, right? Just make sure you go to a tailor that has the bod-mod options, you can change height there in addition to scales. The Body Sculptor ones...not all tailors can alter size.

I'm just looking for a reverse boob job and a little thicker waist....

Unless you guys thinks she looks alright?
Autobot Bubbs
Oh... found this shortly after logging back in...

Dvandom
Yep, that's the spot unofficially known as Paladin Park. There's three spawn points for Paladin (if you install the Vidiotmap pack, they show as white circles), they eventually all head to this spot. If there's three out, no more will spawn.

Beating Paladin doesn't give enough rewards to be worthwhile, and as s Giant Monster it's always four levels tougher than whoever fights it (the spawned sprockets et al cap at L10, though). When you see a notice of "strange Clockwork activity in King's Row" that means a Paladin is being built...finding the right spawn point and hammering on it for 20 minutes or so will get you the Knight Errant badge.

If you want a shot at this badge, but there's already three Paladins, you can get the attention of one of them and then head for the police drones at the blocked off Galaxy CIty exit at the north end of King's Row. The drones will eventually vaporize Paladin (no XP) if you can survive long enough, which will clear that one off the map.

Found the tools that where spoken of.... Considering how many free tailor sessions I got this shouldn't be a problem, I just got to find the time to, well, fix it.

Also... it's looking like the main problem could be her hips (IE: da booty), since I adjusted that and it looked better... though I do still want her kinda buff.

I know where two of the spots are, I think. One is running south of the Train station, and I think the other is near the east corner (at least that's where I last saw a stockpile of clockworks). Me and the other guy DID find a group of level 14 tankers situated Northwest of the hospital though... dunno if that counts.

And where might this pack be found? Does it track OTHER phenomina (IE: the ghost ship?)
Dvandom
Vidiotmaps.com, and yeah, it includes the path of the ghost ship, where Sally might pop up, etc.

---Dave
Devcon
I typically install it every new issue to keep track of where new badges are and to have nifty notes appear on my maps.

For instance, it adds paths to Perez Park so you can navigate in the damn forest area. For a more recent example, it adds the "shadowed paths" and their counterparts in First Ward and Night Ward, useful to switch between zones.
Autobot Bubbs
Which download would it be? The main one, or under 'related'.
Dvandom
For PC, this one. Scavgraphics is working on one for Mac users (not automated, but since the last automated version is only through I18, a definite step up).

---Dave
Autobot Bubbs
She's only at 13... and I think I'm gonna haveta respec. Gave her taunt, which... well... is kinda useless seeing as how it's only hit one specific person I've been aiming for.

Aaaaaand... it won't let me download it. icon-screamer.gif
Dvandom
Maybe you need to create an account?

---Dave
Autobot Bubbs
mkay... downloaded. Makes finding crap easier.

However, now Julius won't let me do any more of his missions after the first when I'm only lvl 15.... I suppose I need to get the tardis badge now? And even then... will I get to the mage and the possibility of running the task force?
Dvandom
Yeah, the big problem with the Hollows arcs is that they date from a time before easy leveling in that range, so it was expected you'd spend a while making it from 7 to 14. Julius and the mage he introduces you to cut off at L14, period. Oro will let you run just the last contact so you can unlock the Caverns of Transcendence if you want, though.

Damn... should have kept the XP-block on.

Okay... now tis time for a night elf warrior princess to go begging for someone to open an oroboros portal in Infinity.... icon-screamer.gif

OR run through the Midnighter arcs, then the madness, and then the time-controll guy, and with it have to explore an ENDLESS cavern filled with ENDLESS warriors... AGAIN. >_<
Autobot Bubbs
Oh, yeah... kind of forgot to introduce you guys to this one.

This would be Fire-Kat.... one of my CF chars modified into a Fire dominator.

Katheryn Xella was born to highly successful parents... parents who tried to make up for their absence by spoiling her rotten. All she wanted was a little attention/affection, and instead they'd buy her a pony and call it good. This naturally gave her some serious issues. She grew into one of the mean girls, a manipulative queen bee who was trouble way before she could harness fire. Throughout school and into college she never had to worry about anything... well, that is until her parents had to cut her off after jello zombies from space razed their hometown.

Now... in a desperate attempt to earn some shopping money... she's become a villain.
Autobot Bubbs
Man Nikitis is REALLY sucking through her power meter. Even with reducers, I can take on a pack of enemies and I'm lucky if I have 1/4 of the meter left. When she hits epic, she's definately getting the Power set.

One thing too, I'm lvl 19 and I've still only got 3 Mace related attacks.
Autobot Bubbs
Well, Nikitis DID get clobber at 20. Still wondering if I shouldn't start diving into the common pools. The Jump def for the sake of Jump bonus, some additional Mele, I'm sure one of you will suggest Hasten (even though I've never noticed any differance).

Anyways... THE HUNT!

Oh... and here she is in her Civillian outfit.

Down again for maintenance... didn't they just do that on tuesday? Ugh... I was going to run the lvl 20 bank job.

There were some serious bugs with the Summer Blockbuster event, the publish this morning was intended to fix it.

Would one of them have been that the ninja-lady is nigh-unkillable even WITH 3 people wailing on her, and the fact that you can't exit the fight outside of dying after your squadies have bugged out on you?
Waspinator
The Summer event has some REALLY good enhancements as rewards.
Dvandom
No, the bug was that sometimes after you finish the first set of flashback tasks, people weren't being teleported back to the hideout for the fight scene. The ninja lady is meant to be a horrible grind-down of a fight.

Got 5/6 of the set on my En/En blaster's Explosive Blast power. Tomorrow I should be able to pick up the one piece I'm still missing for him (auction house still won't accept 'em, but you can trade in person).

---Dave, also got "Man's Best Friend" on Woofers, his Statesdog toon
Autobot Bubbs
Question:

Now, while it says that all the toggled DEF abilities have little-to-no endurance cost... I have noticed varying degrees of End loss while having certain ones active. IE: Only having one on at a time leaves me with more end after taking down 3 Tsoo.

Could the End cost be triggered when she takes actual damage?
Dvandom
That's per second. If your toggles come too close to your recovery rate, then as you spend on your attacks you won't get much back, and your bar will drop quickly.

Try this: turn on all your toggles, then click Powers tab, and Combat Attributes at the top. The first category will show you both your Recovery and your current usage.

Nyeh.... yeah, with 4 debuff's running ATST, I can see why I loose end so easily. Guess I know what to spend my lvl 23 slots on.
Autobot Bubbs
Giving Kat some playtime.... took forever to set this one up, considering my 3 bot-buddies always had to be 2 feet away....

Dvandom
BIG sale at the store today (and a free hat). All the archetype unlocks are 75% off, Bubbs you might want to snap them up. Dual Pistols and Electric Control (free to VIP, but costing to Premium) are also 75% off.

---Dave, might pick up some of the NPC-costume powers
Rust
O_O

*Checks funds*

*Runs off to the Paragon Market*

Seriously - 200 point archtypes and power pools?! You can't beat those prices!

EDIT: Snagged Dual Pistols, Eletric Control, Peacebringer, Warshade, and Arachnos Soldier (The Widow has never interested me, to be honest) for 1130. I just took a huge bite out of my Wish List.
Devcon
Only got the hat, since I have everything else unlocked.

And funny, Rust: I prefer the widow over the soldier - at least the one I built. Though I'm trying a 2nd soldier and picking the Bane path (Operative Sharpe is a Crab), I'll see if my opinion changes some as I level that one.
Dvandom
The VEATs are very teamwork-oriented, which means they're not as solo-able. I've stalled on my Crab because Pinnacle activity has gone way down, but my Night Widow might start to get going now that I've discovered the VEAT-only mothership raids on Guardian (where I'd moved my Widow) on Saturday nights.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the Widow's "thing" is. The Soldier I get - techno-gadget heavy super soldier (Have a concept already planned out on that front), but the Window?

A Psi Stalker?
Dvandom
Basically, the Widow is a mix of Spines and Psi with a LOT of Leadership. I've gone the Night Widow route, which emphasizes the Spines Stalker sort of stuff, but with a nice long-range mental blast and plenty of team-buff. The Fortunata side emphasizes the psi attacks.

12 VEATS managed to kick serious butt on a Mothership Raid, though. As long as we stayed in a tight clump so that all the team buffs worked, everyone was at +200% To Hit, +100% Damage, and other insane levels of buff.

---Dave
Rust
Eh, why not? With a holiday tomorrow it's not like any bills are going to be dropping on me. So I went ahead and snagged the Widow (At 200 points, why not?) and marked the First Ward off my Wish List too.

All that's left on there is a MA slot (Urge to create storyline...rising), Demon Summoning, Kinetic Melee, and the SSAs (More for the story then the rewards since I'm not going to be doing Incarnate stuff).

But speaking of that - once I hit 50 as a Premium, what is there to do? Can I still get into Dark Astoria to do that storyline? Or am I just going to have to be content with initial Praetoria, Rikti War Zone, and Shadow Shard?
Dvandom
Dark Astoria is incarnate content...you can come along on someone else's missions, but you can't get the contacts AFAIK.

---Dave
Rust
Daaaw, sad panda.

Ah well. I guess that's what Alts are for, eh? icon-fire.gif
Dvandom
You can always do the "VIP for a month" trick to try out incarnate content, too. And after a month of running your 50 through everything you can get your hands on, go back to the lowbies when you drop back to Premium. It's easiest to get in on incarnate trials on Virtue.

---Dave
Rust
Speaking of VIP for a month thing...if I had Tokens to spend, and I went VIP and got those costume pieces, then dropped down to Premium, would I get to keep them?
Devcon
I believe you should keep'em, yes
Rust
I think I have an illness in this game. Been playing off and on since 2004, been giving it tons of money even when not subscribed, and only one non-incarnate Level 50 to show for it. And now I'm contemplating giving them even *more* money just for Costume pieces.

I...I think I'm addicted to the Costume Creator.
Autobot Bubbs
So... these special powers, how does that work?

I see 'Ninja run' in the store, but how is it that you get it to the char you want to have it? Do you use that chars account, or is it sent via E-mail like the rewards powers?
Dvandom
The various travel powers (Ninja Run, Beast Run, Coyote, Panther, Rocket Board, Flying Carpet, Steam Jump, Jump Pack), teleporters (Mission Teleporter, Pocket D VIP Pass, Team Teleporter) and buffs (Mystic Fortune, Secondary Mutation, Leprechaun) as well as useless powers (vanity pets, NPC costumes, frisbee) show up in your Inherent Powers as soon as you buy them, no need to claim. All characters get them, current and future.

Several pairs are identical mechanically and only vary in appearance (Ninja/Beast Run, Rocket Board/Flying Carpet) or have slight differences (Steam Jump has a faster recharge than Jump Pack, Panther is slower than Coyote but has Stealth),
