Well, major winter storm hit SD AFTER spring has officially sprung... we got freezing rain, we got sleet, we got snow, we got thunder, and all the loverly shtuff that goes with it...

interstates closed, schools closed, trees/branches crashing down onto yards/streets/parked cars/housed/powerlines, occasional power outages...

and this all went down YESTERDAY.... it won't full pass until THIS EVENING.

Did I mention I've been deprived of Dr. Pepper? Yeah I had a can of coke instead... but I HATE COKE!!!!

Just got done compiling a few of my custom joes for suitable DA display. You'll recognize 3 of them as Group project submissions... while the 4th is one that hasn't even been submitted to the regular Custom gallery (since I'm not sure if I can).

The TCC exclusive exclusive speculation thread

Well... we know that it's going to be Machine War's themed... anyone have any ideas who's going to be used to represent who?

The Hoist fig was a nice one, Skywarp was a suprise, and Strika... didn't see her coming. SO, anyone care to speculate on who else they'll put in there and which molds they'll use?

Sandstorm... if they are going to be using Movie figs, I'd put my money on Skyhammer... him being one of the few Choppers they've put out lately.

Soundwave... Duh. The only one to be used to make soundwave would be the CDF Red Alert... WHO was already used for pre-BW megs in a previous set. However the previously stated rule of not re-using molds for exclusives was broken in 2011 with SG Thundercracker. So who knows?

Mirage/Prowl... Again, Duh. Mirage's Classic's mold is the only one to do them justice. And just as before, while previously used back around 05ish, this rule HAS been broken.

Optimus Prime... Yeah this is getting redundant. >_<


Things you'd like to see....

Megastorm: Last year we got to see Overlord/Gigatron... a possible interdimensional warlord of destruction. Giga being the name taken from one of the origional's Godmaster's. Mega would represent the other half. This'd be a Revenge of the Fallen Mindwipe colored to resemble Overlords Jet mode, sporting a new, clearly female, head.

An RPers Lament

This past year hasn't been good for me.

As most of you already know, CoH was shut down in November, pissing a LOT of us off on here... but not only that I lost 2 more outlets for my creativity. The local Anime shop went out of business... which is where I would spend most of my off-nights, playing magic, sometimes just sitting and drawing, generally shmoozing with other people with similar interests. Loosing that hit hard because it was the first place that I could go and feel welcomed by not only the staff but the other customers AND be free to basically loiter.

One of the bigger things though is my RPG, Comicfun. It was a multi-universe text-based RPG that pushed me in not only charrecter creation but also content. No 'shoot Y with X'. You had to describe what you where doing in often greulling detail. Not just that, it wasn't constant fight scenarios... there where plenty of threads that where bloodless intros, or even simple interaction. Sadly, over the past couple years problems arose... I was deputised into Global mod, and then our head mod dissapeared. Since then it was me and 5 people... but for a while I haven't seen the one I've had the most fun playing/creating with. As much as I hate to even acknowlege this... I think the site is on her last legs.

What's really sad is that I grew as a storyteller on that. The head mod told me I played the 'token bitch' I created flawlessly... she was hateable for all the right reasons, but as the story progressed I fleshed her out and added depth, human qualities that, while they still hated her, they begrudingly loved her too.

Bottom line, for the past month I've been left with little to nothing to do on nights off other then argue politics on a local forum, do laundry, and sort my DA faves. I need some new RP stomping grounds. In the past I've done a lot of TF rp's, starting with Echoes of War, and the afformentioned Comics Fun, focusing on Superheroes and Manga. Thing is I am mostly focused on OC's, chars I can build myself (or modify from past sites) and build over the site.

An old freind did point me towards one called Luceti... which I might test-drive when I can (they have some strict guidlines when it comes to postings and when you can submit a char), but I'm waiting to get some details fleshed out. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

TFCC subscription woes

Hey.

For the past couple years I've always been re-subscribing to the Club via money order... but this year I thought I'd try something different, using the visa giftcards that I've used to pay for City of Heroes stuff.

Well I get it signed in, I upload it to the store (which accepts it), then I try to checkout only to get this...


So... what the hell be going on here?
