So we should probably know by the end of the week what next year's BotCon theme will be.

I know a lot of us have already made guesses, but a lot has happened recently:

Does the announcement of Beast Hunters kill your Beast Era set idea, assuming FP would want access to all those new beasties?

Thinking G2? Almost every G2 character deserving a new toy has popped up in the FP comics in either their 2010 body or their original G2 bodies.

RID? Are there enough toys for a whole BotCon? Same for MW.

My best guess is Japanese exclusive characters, it would probably go over well, and there's enough of them to make a set.

What are your guesses?

I know the Bludgeon mold is a divisive mold. But, I quite like it.

Banzai-Tron was an obvious choice for a repaint. Overlord and G2 Megatron using that mold caught me off-guard, but I like them.

Banzai-Tron is the only one I don't really care for, preferring his BotCon toy. And, don't get me wrong I'd love better molds for the other two, but they have a place in my collection until something better comes along.

The only other redeco of the mold I can think of that I want is Quake (probably as a subscription figure using the Gigatron head). That would probably be my second favorite version of the mold if it existed, after Bludgeon himself.

Any other decos you guys would like to see? Or, have you had enough of the mold, think it only works for Bludgeon or have always disliked it?

Which molds if any work for a Classics figure? Assume you can have a newly sculpted head.

I ran out of room just before Unicron on the list. I know there are a few more molds out there, especially the Beast Hunters stuff. But I wanted to include "other" and "none" options and didn't have room for all that stuff anyway.

Explain your "others," I'd love to hear ideas on redecoes for Laserback, Predaking and the Mad Max like reshells.

I also didn't include each version of each character, you can specify the specific mold below if you would like.

Break for some of my thoughts and opinions.

I like most of the repaints of Wheeljack, and will probably find a place for Wildrider and possibly Slicer on my Classics shelf. Heck, I was tempted to replace Generations Jack with PRID Jack, just because I love the look of that mold, but the GEEWUNNER in me won that internal debate (Wait, is he taller? That could reopen that debate...)
I'll probably display Slipstream on my Classics shelf as well, but she feels off.

I'm not in love with GDO Cliffjumper, but I wouldn't mind seeing that mold redecoed as IDW early ongoing series Leader Bumblebee. I'm not sure if I would buy it, I just think it would be neat, and I have a friend I know would buy it.

Slap some black stripes and maybe a new head on my lazy color swap and hooray! A Bumblebee people might actually want.
(Stole your pic TJ, I'll take it down if you hate me for it.)

Maybe I should have titled this "which molds do not work?", although to me it seems like the Autobots work better than the Decepticons.

I remember trying to read the G1 Marvel comics a few times several years ago. I did not care for it.

After nearly catching up with all of the cartoons I hadn't seen (I've still got a little bit of Energon and all of Cybertron left), and running out of IDW collections I thought I'd give it another shot, especially after I saw the solicitations for "Classics UK."

OMG, the UK stuff is awesome! I'm baffled by how these stories written around the US stuff can end up generally far better than the material they spun off from. I know part of it is that I'm accustomed to the faster pace of more recent comics, and the ~11 page stories from the UK are more easily digested but, the longer UK stories are some of the most enjoyable.

I still find myself dragging my heels when I hit a large patch of US issues, but the superior art, writing and coloring (even after the painted colors are gone) of the UK stuff spices up the sometimes dull US stuff enough to keep me moving along.

I'm at the spot where the original G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover happens, and intend to read both versions of those events.

I see I'm not too far away from the Headmasters mini, and it looks like it's not going to be in the "Classics" collections from IDW.

What's the cheapest way to score that mini (hopefully in a collected format)?

So, I own:

BotCon Flak
Universe Powerglide (Hot House)
Universe Tread Bolt
Movie 1 Big Daddy
PCC Bombshock
HFTD Oil Pan (Skystalker)
Movie 1 Jolt (Road Hugger)
And..
3P homages to Growl, Fireshot and Erector

I know I still need:
Universe Countdown
Movie 1 Inferno (Tote)
Universe Stormcloud
Movie 1 Grindcore (Crush-Bull)
Universe Dropshot

The following are figs I want that may actually be repurposing:
Universe Swerve for his Roadhandler Minicon
Prime Cyberverse Tailgate (Trip-Up)

ROTF Blaze Master is way too movieish for me. Some Bay aesthetic is fine but he's over the line.

Are there any I missed or any particularly awesome repurposes?
