One of those "it's too early to be awake" moments this morning.

As I was looking in the mirror, it occurred to me to ponder: Should I be shampooing and conditioning my beard as well as my hair? Is that even done?

I mean, I've had this on my face in one shape or another since I was 18, only slicing it off once in the last 12 years and that was for a role in a show. But I've never quite stopped to consider care for it beyond the usual trim or reshaping.

So, I come to you, my brethren. Thoughts, comments, experiences, and other musings on the most masculine of facial features?

In the distant hallowed ages of 1994, the world of comic shops and gaming stores was changed forever when Magic: The Gathering game compulsive collectors and fantasy enthusiasts an entirely new thing to geek out on.

I got into the game at the very early end of Unlimited Edition and with the The Dark fresh on the shelves. I survived the Ice Age, the Homelands/Fallen Empires dark ages, the Tempest and all the way through until Masques. And when the game needed me the most, I vanished.

Now, over 10 years later, I have rediscovered the game and it is frightening how easily I slipped back into old patterns. Dropping money on boosters, the smell of old cards, trading and bargaining to get the key cards for your decks, life dice, the works.

Looking back on what I missed, I only really regret missing Kamigawa, Time Spiral, and Mirridon the most. Luckily, I can still get the Scars block and it's still legal for now. The Innistrad block doesn't really appeal to me much so far, but that's how it goes.

So, Any one else here still play, or used to and feels nostalgic? Anyone up for talking deck strategies?

Well, I hugged up and forgot to get my w2 until today and have to do a mad rush to get taxes done.

What's the fastest and cheapest software/site? Turbotax has ripped me off in the past so I could use an alternative idea if anyone has one.

You're out shopping, you spot the figure, and at the other end of the isle, you spot another collector. We can sense out own. There's a tingle and a dramatic panning/circling shot and a weird harmonic in the air. Both sets of eyes snap to the figure. Who will get there first?

For the end, there is only one... on the shelf....

So while on a TFwiki binge, I cam across an sandbox on Gender in TF's that got some wheels in my head turning.

What if Hasbro had actually decided to make some of the original G1 figures female from the get go? Back in the 80's Boys lines had no females typically (Scarlet, Lady Jane, and Cheetara being the only ones I recall off the top of my head), so what if suddenly Hasbro had decided to shake that trend and G1 had more female characters in it as their competitor Gobots did (Crasher and Smallfoot being main cast members as well as many supporting fems).

Would molds with prominent... chests (Jazz, Prowl, Shockwave) have been good candidates, or would Tracks have been a fem all along perhaps. Would we have seen versions of Roadrage and Discharge in the casts perhaps?

Thoughts, comments?
