Would it be much of a hassle to make a mobile version of the Allspark? I find myself checking in here on my phone a good bit, and the setup of my phone makes it difficult to browse the forums and make replies.
How feasible would it be?

Since the G1 Pony thread seems to be going well (I will get another post up, I promise), I thought I'd introduce the music of the G1 series as well.
Songs are nothing new to the My Little Pony franchise. From the first line of the first title theme, music has played a large role in the series. To begin with, we'll start with the songs of the first My Little Pony Special aka Rescue at Midnight Castle. Since Guardian Prime was so nice to have already posted the theme, I'll start off with the first true song of the series. DISCLAIMER: The videos come from Youtube, and the lyrics are courtesy of Dream Valley. Dancing on Air Firefly: They'll be dancing on air when they meet you Dancing on air with glee Megan: I doubt they'll be celebrating when they see it's only me Firefly: They'll do cartwheels in air when they see you Their hope will start to rise Megan: From what they're anticipating, they're in for a big surprise Firefly: They'll be floating lighter than a cloud Megan: They'll be floating - laughing right out loud Firefly: The sight of you will send spirits flying Megan: One or two may burst out crying Firefly: Why can't you believe? You're gonna be great Megan: But, Firefly.... Firefly: Trust me! Megan, you're a dream come true That, my friends all think so too You're the answer to our every prayer Megan: Time will tell if I'll come through But just imagine if I do... Firefly: They'll be dancing... Megan: Prancing... Both: Dancing on air! "Dancing on Air" has the distinction of not only being the first full-blown song in the franchise, but it is also the first duet in the series as well. This song kicked off the grand tradition of songs within My Little Pony episodes and movies. When Firefly insists on Megan returning with her to Dream Valley to aid her and the other ponies, Megan is very reluctant to come. She's convinced that she's incapable of making a difference in the fight. Firefly sings this song to convince her otherwise. This is one of my favorite songs in G1. Sandy Duncan is at her finest here in her role as Firefly. ------------------------------------------------ Call Upon the Sea Ponies All Sea Ponies: Shoop-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo Call upon the Sea Ponies when you're in distress Helpful as can be ponies - simply signal SOS If you find you're past the drift and haven't got an oar (oar) Count upon the Sea Ponies - they'll see you to shore Shoop-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo Seawinkle: Are you sinking fast? Wavedancer: Had some nasty shocks? Sealight: Feeling like all hope is gone and washed up on the rocks? All Sea Ponies: Washed up on the rocks Shoop-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo Call upon the Sea Ponies when you're in distress Helpful as can be ponies - simply signal SOS If your rudder runs aground or seeweed holds a grip (kelp) Count upon the Sea Ponies - they'll see you get help Sea Ponies, Sea Ponies Simply signal SOS, simply signal SOS Sea Ponies, Sea Ponies Simply signal SOS, simply signal SOS Oh, yes! The second song of the first Special, this is sung by Seawinkle, Sealight, and Wavedancer backed up by a choir of their fellow Sea Ponies while rescuing Megan and Applejack after they fall into a river. This song serves not only as an introduction to one of the most famous types of ponies, but it also doubles as a show informing them of their many talents. Say what you will about the Sea Ponies, but these aquatic sirens have some of the best harmony in the entire franchise. This song introduced the phrase that heralded the appearance of the Sea Ponies from the specials all the way to the end of the series. I absolutely adore this song and will happily belt it out if listening to it on a CD or my MP3 player. ------------------------------------------------ A Little Piece of Rainbow The Moochick: Somewhere there's a little piece of rainbow I saved it for a rainy day It's either underneath the rug or in the cupboard - ug, a bug! But, have no fear, I'll find it right away Wait until you see this piece of rainbow It's brighter than a peacock's plume It's ocean blue and sunrise pink - I left it by the sink I think Or was it in the closet with the broom Perhaps we ought to try the other room That piece of rainbow must be hiding some place Search every nook and cranny high and low Megan: You'd think that with a rainbow there's be some trace Twilight: But not a gleam Bow Tie: Not a glimmer Firefly: Not a glow The Moochick: Where's I put that little piece of rainbow? I ran across just last week It might be in the flower pot, my goodness gracious, no it's not That piece of rainbow's playing hide and seek I'm sorry but it seems, I'm sorry but it seems we're up the creek Megan: You're not giving up, are you? The Moockick: Might as well; looked every place; absolutely no place else we could... Wait a moment! Beg your pardon! Silly me - come and see - it's in the garden This is where I put that piece of rainbow It's buried here beneath the ground I left it in the flowerbed, it's how I am - I plan ahead I knew that here I'd find it safe and sound A lesson for you all - when hope seems past recall A piece of rainbow always can be found This is the third and final song of the first Special. Performed by the late Tony Randall, it is sung by the Moochick while he is searching for the Rainbow of Light. This is our first introduction to the Moochick, a wise but very scatterbrained gnome. He is very knowledgeable and would be one of the first people the ponies went to when they needed information about a particularly unusual problem. For whatever reason, this song was cut when Rescue at Midnight Castle was split into two parts for syndication. ------------------------------------------------ And there you are, the songs of the Rescue at Midnight Castle. Next up, Escape from Catrina.

Based on the Retro Ponies thread, it seems that there's some curiosity about the earlier generations of ponies. So, I decided to compile a set of profiles focusing on the ponies of the first generation. I figured the best place to start would be the ponies that served as the inspirations for the mane six of Friendship is Magic.
DISCLAIMER 1: These profiles go into a good bit of detail of what happens in the MLP specials and series, so be wary if you don't want to be spoiled before watching any of them. DISCLAIMER 2: The information in these profiles come primarily from My Little Wiki, MLP Land, Wikipedia's MLP Character List, and TV Tropes MLP Character Sheets. The toy images come from My Little Wiki and MLP Land, and the screencaps were made by me from episodes downloaded from Youtube. That said, let's begin. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/8/86/Applejack.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Earth%20Ponies/Applejack.png) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Earth%20Ponies/Applejackcorrupted.png) Applejack Coat: orange Hair: yellow Eyes: green Cutie Mark: seven red apples (toy); five red apples (series) VA: Sandy Duncan Backcard Story: Bubbles was racing down the hill looking for a muddy spot to roll in. She stopped suddenly and laughed. "What a silly sight," she said. Hanging upside down in a tree like a monkey was Applejack. "How did you get up there?" asked Bubbles. Applejack whinnied in embarrassment. "I was jumping for apples. I jumped so high that I caught my heels on the branch." Bubbles sighed. "Your appetite for apples is always getting you in trouble, Applejack!" Then she helped Applejack out of the tree, and was treated to a fine red apple from her thankful friend. The original Applejack was first released in 1983 as part of the Year Two set of ponies. She shares her FiM namesake's love of apples, but unfortunately not her athleticism. In 1984, a daughter pony, Baby Applejack, was released in certain European nations, including the United Kingdom. Applejack's only animated appearance was in the first My Little Pony Special, also known as Rescue at Midnight Castle or Firefly's Adventure. She is one of the ponies who accompanied Megan and Firefly on their quest to save the ponies captured by Tirak. She is the also the first pony to encounter the Sea Ponies after falling off a bridge into a river. When they finally reach Midnight Castle, she is captured and, along with Cotton Candy, Moondancer, and Bubbles, she is corrupted by Tirak's Rainbow of Darkness. After his defeat, she is restored to her original form. Applejack is one of the only trademarks that Hasbro managed to maintain throughout MLP's run. She saw a new reincarnation in the third generation with a different coat color, hair color, and cutie mark. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/thumb/c/c6/Straight_Haired_Firefly.jpg/542px-Straight_Haired_Firefly.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Group/FireflyandMegan.png) Firefly Coat: pink Hair: blue Eyes: purple Cutie Mark: two blue lightning bolts (toy and series) VA: Sandy Duncan Backcard Story: Firefly jumped on the wind and, soaring higher and higher, thought she might look for the rainbow. She knew it loved to play hide and seek. "I wonder where it's hiding today?" she thought. The wind whispered the answer in her ear. "Thanks for the ride!" Firefly said as she jumped off. She danced across the sky, sailing from cloud to cloud. Finally she saw the snow-crested mountain peaks. Nestled in the deep mountain valley was the rainbow. Firefly laughed because under the rainbow was Blossom, sound asleep! Firefly was one of the very first Pegasus Ponies to be released by Hasbro. She was released in 1983 as part of the Pegasi set of Year Two. She is one of the most famous ponies in the series, partly due to her starring role in the Rescue at Midnight Castle. She is a very adventurous pony and loves to race around the sky. One of her quotes is 'Danger is my life!'. In 1984, she obtained a daughter pony in the form of Baby Firefly. Firefly had the honor of being the star of the Rescue at Midnight Castle. She is first seen flying Ember, a baby Earth Pony, to safety after she jumped from a tall cliff. Afterwards, she attempted a double inside-out loop, much to the disapproval of Medley. She flubbed the move and plowed into Applejack, sending Twilight and Ember into a fit of laughter. After Moondancer and Cotton Candy are captured, she flies off and brings Megan back to assist in the rescue. When the rescue party reaches Midnight Castle, she manages to get the Rainbow of Darkness but ends up losing it after running into a dragon. Right after meeting Megan, the two break into the very first song of the My Little Pony franchise. The song, "Dancing on Air," would kick off the grand tradition of musical segments throughout the franchise. Firefly would serve as the inspiration for FiM Rainbow Dash. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/9/92/Posey.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Group/PoseyandSpike.png) Posey Coat: yellow Hair: pink Eyes: green Cutie Mark: six pink tulips (toy); five pink tulips (series) VA: Unknown (Escape from Catrina); Nancy Cartwright (series) Backcard Story: Posey was busily planting new rows of tulips in her garden when she spotted a fierce grey raincloud overhead. "The rain will wash away my newly planted tulip bulbs and ruin my garden." she sighed. Parasol, racing through the clouds in search of a rainbow, heard her plea. "Don't worry Posey." Parasol Shouted. Ď'll protect your tulips." Parasol jumped into the raincloud. She tossed her rainbow mane and tail and dozen of pretty parasols fell from the clouds to cover her tulip beds. "Thank you, Parasol" Posey said handing her friend a bouquet of her finest tulips. Posey is an Earth Pony who was first released in the Year Three set of ponies. She saw a second release in Year Four as a So Soft* pony. Posey is a very motherly pony who tends the gardens of Paradise Estate. Posey first appears in the second My Little Pony Special, Escape from Catrina, where she attempts to get the baby Ponies to take a nap. She plays a bigger role in the MLP series, where she stars in the Season 1 episode, "Fugitive Flowers." Posey is tricked by a group of renegade flowers called the Flores into protecting them from the Crab Nasties, giant crabs who are searching for them. Posey gives them shelter in her garden, but the ponies later discover that the Flores are criminals. Posey served as the basis for FiM Fluttershy. Unlike her FiM reincarnation, her talents lie with flowers and other plantlife, instead of animal life. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/8/80/Sparkler.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Unicorn%20Ponies/Sparkler.png) Sparkler Coat: blue Hair: purple with red streak in mane Eyes: purple Cutie Mark: ten blue diamonds (toy); four blue diamonds (series) VA: Ivy Austin Backcard Story: Sparkler stood out in the sun, admiring her collection. "It's so beautifully shiny," she remarked as she rearranged her glitter cards, gold coins and aluminum foil pieces. Sparkler loves shiny, sparkling objects. When the moon is full, she follows the brightest star in search of glittering trinkets. On the night of the last full moon, Sparkler found a glowing diamond. "This will be perfect for Majesty's crown," she thought. But Majesty urged Sparkler to keep the jewel because someday she might have a crown of her own! Sparkler loves anything shiny and collects gems and other sparkling objects. She was first released in 1984 as part of the Year Three Unicorn set of ponies. Her only animated appearance was in Escape from Catrina, where she paints a welcome sign for Megan's return. She is seen again at the end of the special dressed as a cheerleader. Sparkler, along with Glory, would serve as the inspiration for FiM Rarity. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/c/c4/Surprise.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Group/Surprise.png) Surprise Coat: white Hair: neon yellow Eyes: purple Cutie Mark: five purple balloons (toy); four purple balloons (series) VA: B.J. Ward Backcard Story: Surprise was traveling through the clouds and saw what looked like a rainbow far off in the distance. As she flew closer, she realized it was a runaway hot-air balloon flying frantically out-of-control. "Are you lost?" Surprise shouted to the giant balloon. Suddenly a head poked over the top of the basket. "Please take me home," pleaded Spike, Majesty's little pet dragon. Surprise gently guided the balloon all the way back to Dream Castle. Majesty was delighted to see her friend Spike and gave Surprise a royal "thank you!" Surprise was released in 1984 as part of the Year Three Pegasi set of ponies. The same year, a daughter, Baby Surprise, was released as well. Like Posey, she would be released in Year Four as a So Soft pony. Surprise is a very mischevious, very loud, and very hyperactive pony. One of her favorite pasttimes is jumping out of random hiding places and startling other ponies and creatures with a loud 'SURPRISE!'. She first appears in the MLP series, where she plays a fairly large role. She is one of the ponies who travel to a celebration at Flutter Valley in "The End of Flutter Valley." She makes another appearance in "The Return of Tambelon" where she helps Danny retrieve his tape recorder from Paradise Estate after it was taken over. Surprise makes a third appearance in "Baby, It's Cold Outside" where she brings Megan to Dream Valley in order to discover what caused the blizzard that had suddenly appeared. Surprise served as the inspiration for FiM Pinkie Pie. ------------------------------------------------ (IMG:http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/thumb/e/ee/TwilightUnicorn.jpg/180px-TwilightUnicorn.jpg) (IMG:http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj605/kaylathehedgehog/Group/TwilightandEmber.png) Twilight Coat: pink Hair: white with a purple streak in mane Eyes: purple Cutie Mark: nine purple stars (toy); five dark pink stars (series) VA: Laura Dean Backcard Story: Long ago on one warm and misty night, Twilight wanted to make a wish. Her keen eyes roamed the dark sky. "I do not see a single star to make a wish upon," she said as she reared and pointed her horn at the moon. "Oh, dear Moon, please bring out a star for me tonight." Suddenly, the sky was ablaze with light. Every single star that existed shone down on Twilight. "Make your wish quickly, Twilight!" boomed the Moon. Twilight wished that all the stars would shine so bright on that same night every year. Now all the ponies come out to make their own special wishes on these starry, starry nights. Twilight was one of the first Unicorn Ponies to be released by Hasbro. She was released in 1983 as part of the Year Two Unicorn set of ponies. Twilight can teleport herself by chanting 'I wish, I wish, I wish!'**. She also loved to stargaze. Twilight made her first and only animated appearance in Rescue at Midnight Castle. Like Posey, she is very motherly. She volunteers to travel to Midnight Castle after Ember is captured by Tirak's forces. Twilight would serve as the inspiration for FiM Twilight Sparkle. * So Soft ponies were essentially identical to normal ponies, except they were flocked. ** Unicorn magic was very different in G1 as opposed to FiM. In the specials, only Twilight had the ability to teleport with her magic. In the series, every unicorn had the ability to teleport, or 'winking' as it was known then. Aside from that, each unicorn had her own special ability that I will go into in later editions. EDIT: Sorry about that. I didn't know MLP Land didn't allow hotlinking images. The toy pictures should show up now.

Um, is there any particular reason I have the option of merging topics and closing topics?
I was browsing the TF Discussion forum, and I had those options.

Okay, so I once stumbled upon a series of Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ themed parodies of Disney songs. Some time after that, I heard about the Disney label TFs from Takara. The two incidents inspired me to try my hand at Disney parodies, only Transformers themed. I've since played around with various songs and tried to fit them with the G1 universe.
I've been meaning to post them on my DeviantArt, but I've been wary about doing so since I haven't been able to find a good beta reader. So, what better way to have TF-themed filk songs beta'd than by a community of TF fans? Any critiques are appreciated. If anyone has any alternate lyrics that would sound better than what I have, please feel free to comment on it. So, here's my first one. Song: Perfect Isn't Easy Movie: Oliver and Company Character: Sunstreaker (It was so hard deciding between Sunstreaker or Tracks for this one. They both fit the song so well.) Morning had arrived in Portland, Oregon. The residents of the Ark were awakening and going about their daily activities. A certain yellow Lamborghini took his time getting off his recharge berth. After a few minutes, he got up and headed to his mirror. He turned on the lights, and gasped. Apparently, his paint job had become slightly less shiny than it was before he went into recharge, yet Sunstreaker acted as if the great Unmaker had arrived. He reached for his can of wax. SUNSTREAKER: Boy, we've got work to do Pass me the paint and glue Perfect isn't easy But...it's...me... When one knows the world is watching One does what one must Some minor adjustments, darling Not for my vanity But for humanity Each little step a pose See how the construction shows Sometimes it's too much For even me... But when all the world says, "Yes!" Then who am I to say, "No." Don't ask a Minibot To move like a show car No, boys, you need a pro Not a dent or a flaw Take a look at that shine La di da da Perfection becomes me N'est-ce pas Unrivaled, unruffled I'm beauty unleashed Yeah! Jaws drop, sparks stop So classic and classy We're not talkin' Tracks And ah...ah...ooh... Though many covet my grace and style They're dealing with the wrong 'Bot You other 'Bots all over the city I have your sparks, and you have my pity Pretty is nice, but still it's just pretty Perfect, my friends... Is me... |
