Huge fortress, hundreds of loyal soldiers with zero concern about their own lives, a warship, and now dragons. After seeing a few videos of Dethklok I can't help to see some similarities between the stuff they have, I think the next step for the cons is Music.
Will Megatron start a Death metal Band as a Hobby to relieve the stress of being ruler supreme? what instrument do you think suits each con best?

The C.A.C.C (short for Colombo-American Cultural center) is very famous in my city for the events they organize each year, and one of them is the used book fair, a sale of really interesting material brought by members and people working with the library and the center's bookstore. this year however, has been one of the most exciting years in the event's history thanks to one thing: Old marvel comic books. Yes there's no Spidey or other big titles to speak of, but there's lots and lots of Conan, Shang chi and even some monster comics!

(IMG:http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo305/lanzerik/100_2071.jpg) I'm amazed how even the toy ads (star wars, shogun warriors and a robot called ROM the Space Knight) are drawn. No photographs whatsoever. and there's lots of whacky advertising like glow-in-the-dark skulls, x-ray glasses and Marvel characters saving the day with Hostess Fruit pies and offering super comic book deals. the other books probably got sold quick, so the Aquilonian archive, with all it's mysteries and Conan's exploits is incomplete. I hope next year I can dig out more. |
