It doesn't super say MW Hoist (though I see the Homage) to me, but I like the way it looks just for being "different." -ZacWilliam, the use of that mold makes me want an Electro from them BADLY. Hm. That wouldn't have been my first choice, but I guess it works. The dark red (red-purple?) helps break up the black a bit while still keeping it recognizable. I had immediately assumed that Hubcap would be in the set somewhere, but Electro would make me happier.

I expected Hoist to be all black, but this look still fits the Machine Wars aesthetic perfectly.

Hmm, the accent color looks a lot more purple than I remember MW Hoist's being (I remember it being more brown) but it could just be the lighting (or photoshop? Are we even sure it's a photo?). That and mold layout - MW Hoist was mostly black with very small amounts of the brown (just the biceps, crotch and hook I think) but I can understand wanting to add more color to break it up.
I actually really hate that head as Hoist, since it doesn't really get his visor/mouth right at all... on the other hand, it does look a lot more like Electro, so if it was done to be shared I can understand. Overall, not bad, but it misses all my favorite parts about the original MW Hoist so this one won't be selling me on the set. This post has been edited by Magnusblitz: Jan 31 2013, 03:59 PM |
