Purple headed onslaught? I... Don't know how I feel about that.

The lack of paint is pretty bad on these guys, as has been the case with most recent releases. Especially in contrast to the box art.

The lack of paint on the face does not bother me seeing as they are covered in "realistic camouflage" and came in under a Benjerman.

They've got more paint proportionately than the real G2 figures had, at any rate (which had just the eyes and camo, for the most part. And windows).

I like the Fruit Brute, but I do wonder about the blue on Blast Off's head. It seems really random, bright, and clashy. I'm hoping it's just the lighting.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I LOVE this set. Although I'd still like to have gotten my SDCC set.
I have the retail guys but they are still MISP. The display case style packaging is great though. |

No, he's baby blue. It's kinda washed. His blue is more accurate in the combined pics.

Is bruticus really holding the ark up, Or is there some photo magic at play here? is the plastic band at play here at all?

That's the Euro G1 stuff you're talking about there. G2 tends towards loud and bright, but the colourschemes are all thought out and quite complementary to each other. Agreed that the blue on Blast-Off's head comes from absolutely nowhere, and that blue combined with the purple isn't a particularly attractive colour combination. |
