Razor24 has posted a lot of photos of him.

LOTSA PHOTOSl

He looks great as does Soundblaster.

Seems they updated Soundwave's stats to match his G1 counterpart rather than his RotF/DotM and Prime stats, which made him physically weak.

Also Soundblaster's origin meshes with the Headmasters origin but with some arcane alien science mixed in.

So the mysterious G1 Optimus Prime toy rifle is still there on the box-back photography, but not present in the package. Bizarre on all fronts.

Should be soon for those of us in North America. I'm memory servers when stuff hits Australia first it only a few month until it shows up in the US/ Canada.

This wave is so weird. I'm pretty well sold on just getting Soundwave, and happy that he looks better overall than the deluxe, but I'm hoping that we get more characters in this line that Grimlock (who, I'm guessing, actually is supposed to be scaled with the deluxes) and Blaster. I'll get both of them, or at least Grimlock, but I'm really hoping at least for Megatron's new FOC body in this scale and the same for Optimus, since his deluxe is so dinky. And if they're going to give us a (relatively) obscure repaint like Soundblaster in the same wave as the "original" version of the mold and do considerable retooling, then we could get a lot of mileage out of just four molds. From Optimus alone we could get Magnus (again, the deluxe seems too dinky, but they could give the voyager new parts in the same fashion) and Nemesis Prime (Blaster and SB aren't in the game either, so who cares?). Not sure what they'd do with Megatron, though I'm sure that design could me a decent the Fallen, if they wanted to go that route.

This will be a rare example of me seeking out a video review because I HAVE to see this auto-transforming disc gimmick in action. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE NOW.

Hardly mixed in, that's obviously just referring to the crazy-ass tech from Planet Master.

Oh, I'm so torn....
I have WfC Soundwave, so I don't feel a need as a character. But the gimmick is so nifty

Soundblaster looks fantastic, but then I'd be stuck with frickin Buzzsaw. As a cartoon guy, Laserbeak, Ravage and Rumble (the blue one) hold more weight to me as characters than Soundwave (or Soundblaster). I don't know, maybe I get get a trade to get the yellow one off my hands?

You gotta own all the cassettes, man

Plus, just look at the comics. You'll know Buzzsaw. He's the one who kills Omega Supreme

(okay not really, just cannon blasts)

I love that it's so awesome, but I hate that Soundwave looks like some sort of hulking beast compared to the other Wfc and Foc releases.

Part of the problem is that he is so deliciously purple in person, but photos almost always make him look blue despite his actual color.

Buy the Japanese one, IIRC he doesn't have any of that yellow.

I'm not sure if Soundblaster means enough for me to pick it up, but in any case, I'll wait until in-hand photos pop up before making a decision. The only appeal that Soundblaster has for me is that I can call him New Soundwave and not feel completely silly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

I may have a hard time resisting these once I see them, despite probably wanting the Takara releases. It's too bad that the releases aren't closer, with in-hand comparison pics between the two versions. I kind of like that these are a little more colorful than what I remember of the Takara ones, which are pretty in a more subtle way.

He's not quite as huge compared to the other figures as I remember from Botcon. I think I have less of a problem with Soundwave being this big, than I do with Megatron, Optimus, and Shockwave being Deluxes instead of Voyagers. I'd rather him have the Minion feature and be too big, than him not have it.

This is pretty much how I feel about these. Though the size doesn't bother me at all.

I'm likely to want to skip them for the TakaraTomy ones but I know upon seeing them I won't be able to.
