I got this add in the mail this weekend.
Seems Battle for Energon Kre-O set, which originally sold for $39.99, but was then discounted to $19.99 at K-Mart got another price cut. It's now $14.99. I was at the store, and they have an additional $5 off coupon stuck to the boxes, which brings the price down to $9.99. This set includes 2 Kre-O robots, 4 Kreons and a tiny bank playset! Yeah, hence my warning. But I decided to give it a try anyway, and it worked. From what I could see on the checkout lady's screen, the Battle set shows up as a $19.99 item, which might be why it let her input the coupon. I decided not to push my luck on the $9.99 Stealth Bumblebee, though, and held onto my other coupon for later.

The K-Mart I went to said it was okay to use the $5 off coupon when combining smaller Kre-O purchases. So, for instance, I could buy the $9.99 Stealth Bumblebee and two $2.99 Kreons Micro-Changers, and then use the $5 off coupon. Making the whole thing cost $10.97 plus tax! Or I could get 5 Kreon Micro-Changers for $9.95. Not bad.

I've been doing that at ToysRUs (for instance, the two smallest Battleship sets combined to allow coupon usage), but there was no need for that at all when I bought my BoE (woo, last set of the wave!) in Waupaca last night. No Kreons to add on, just five bucks off.

No luck on the Battle for Energon set (the Kmart website said it was in stock, but it LIED), but the coupon worked for Stealth Bumblebee, securing him for $5 and change!
I've been informed that most stores/chains aren't set up to properly handle the restrictions of manufacturer coupons... in theory the $5 off coupon would work at most places with any purchase that's more than $5 despite the $15+ restriction, as long as the cashier is willing to try (or doesn't notice). |

Got the BfE set with the coupon. No Bumblebee, they were sold out and I didn't feel like it was worth driving half an hour through hurricane remnants to the next closest K-Mart for yet another Bee. Despite Prime having some bad paint on the head (looks like the mask was crooked when they sprayed him), for ten bucks I'm certainly not complaining.

My local Meijer refused to let me coming smaller purchases to get over the $15 limit with two smaller sets. In fact the computer at checkout told the cashier it wouldn't allow them it!
Target let me combine two sets to get to $15. The computer there took the coupon with the purchase of the two troop builder sets. |

I know this isnt the place typically but everyone who likes kreo is kinda in the thread, but i am selling off a ironhide Kreo for 25, and if he sells the Kreon ironhide and yellow Devy from the set.
Figured i would ask here if anyone wants ironhide without having to buy the whole set. -------------------- |
