Is this some sort of special re-release of Alternity Convoy or something?

It would seem so.

I love the vehicle mode so much! Especially with that huge ass spoiler. Definitely on my to buy list.

It's a new series, "Transformers GT", apparently.

The first one is from here, but the second one comes from a /toy/ poster in the thread on 4chan, couldn't find where it came from.

The black on red deco looks really good. But I have the black and silver Convoys as well as the Ultra Magnus. I don't think I need any more.

Reminds me of Smokescreen GT (heh). I wonder if there are other newly tooled parts besides the spoiler. I imagine so.

If they made the legs a little less fiddly while they were adding that spoiler, they might be able to hook me for this.

...well, probably a repaint rather than this specifically, but still.

Can anyone here translate what those images say?

--------------------
"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"
.
"Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." -- C.S. Lewis

Looks like there are a few new vents on the hood/side of the car.

I wouldn't mind seeing the other Alternity guys done up in similar fashion. Unfortunate that the rest of the Alternity molds are so inferior to the Convoy one.

Yeah if it ends up matching this, it's going to look fantastic.

Actually, I felt that the Megatron mold managed to do nearly the same transformation scheme, but fixed a lot of the fiddly issues with the legs.

Megatron is impressive for being such a smaller car but the same height as Optimus in robot mode.

And also the retooling on this fits my criteria that I'm only boing to own one tooling of each Alternity mold. I only had Nemesis Prime before, but I might get this if the price is reasonable.
