Can't remember the last time we saw a test shot (last one I remember, I'm sure there was one since, was WfC Optimus and Drift).

There's probably someone out there who wants that color scheme for an official repaint.

Anyway, how come test shots are so much rarer these days?

If there's really just the two (well three with the clear) colors for the trees of plastic, that means that they're counting on a lot of paint to get it to look anything like that hand-painted sample...

The mold still looks great and those colors are actually pretty nice. I kind of want them to use it for a new seeker now.

Well, not really. But I'd be far more interested in the figure if it weren't the bajillionth G1 colors Starscream toy.

Me.

Seriously.

It looks like an OK mold. But I've already got an Earth Starscream I'm happy with (Classics) and a Cybertron one thats good enough (Energon and Cybertron). I just don't need another. While New Characters, in ANY color scheme are welcome.

I'm not convinced he only has 3 trees of plastic, but is' possible.

We've seen other test shots that are all one color when they had several breakdowns.

What we're probably seeing is the green plastic is unpaintable plastic, the clear plastic is clear, and everything else is maroon.

Half-transforming your toy(s) does NOT count for/as a "3rd mode"!

Still, nice colors. We never get TFs in plum.

Me.

Ditto. Those colours go well together; the maroon looks like heavy armour over the green (dark = "heavy," light = "frail")

I guess it's pretty clear that Hasbro can recolor a Seeker mold in any color scheme, and people would still buy it.

I love that green, and the plum-maroon is a nice color. Together... Eh.

But it's NOT a Seeker color scheme. Which is why I like it on this mold; I think the design is okay, but I have no interest in it as more Seekers. Give me a new character or some other jet character, and I'd be much happier.

It would have to be a Skywarp color scheme, wouldn't it?

Same here, both on the Colors and not really wanting another Starscream toy.

I said any color scheme. I didn't say that it had to be a Seeker, or even resemble one (aside from the mold).

Unless the redeco is blatantly an Autobot, I don't think any color scheme on any mold used by Starscream would be safe from seekerhood.

It helps. There are some Seeker redecos I haven't liked or didn't include a Skywarp.

All of the Combaticons only have three plastic colors each including the color of the combination ports, Shockwave has three plastic colors including the translucent parts. That's evidently the way Deluxes are being made now, down from as many as five colors of plastic to just three.
